If I had to leave a comic unfinished, I would just do that. Because the comics I put up here are nonfiction, I can just wrap it up with an author's note, then list all the sources I've researched so readers can find out how the story ends and perhaps learn more.

So many people are meteor killers. It's kind of amusing how many will just MURDER EVERYONE OFF :sunflower:

I would never leave them in a moment of anguish. If I had to leave I would make them sleep. Sleep confortably and safe forever.

Edit: my readers should not be scared when the characters fall sleep, I'm most likely not killing the comic :joy:

LOL you should see where i stopped at the last page of my comic. its not over by all means but GOD, all my readers are like so SHOCKETD!!! :joy:

 I end a fair number of my chapters with putting my characters to sleep. I suppose I could just... end... it... there, too.

@Tanako are they rioting in the streets yet?

dinosaur lives again (because of birds and they are dinosaurs)

God, might as well. I literally had a reader tell me they will have to stop reading because the character died. I’m like really??? Just because one character died does not determine the fate of the comic plus, he ain’t even a main character just a side dish :unamused:so I told the reader “you do you fam”. :joy::joy::joy:

I dabble too much with dreams and nightmares in NTN that I think I have my readers convinced that if someone dies, it'll turn out to just be one of those instances. That's a shame that someone will stop reading, but it's also good that the character impacted them so much..??

I see yes I guess that will be best if the character did leave an impact. But to be honest he really wasn’t a good character. I mean, he didn’t deserve to die either but his lover was just crazy and shot him. It’s pretty sad and what’s even more interesting is that these things happen in real.

Of course I'll build a dramatic cliff-hanger even if its just a page? Imagine, placing a falling meteor on the final page as the characters reacts to it...unable to do anything then CUT/END. It'll be more open ended and readers are free to speculate on what happened next.

On serious note though, stop randomly killing characters for no reason. If it doesn't change anything in the story or offer character development, keep em alive. You monsters.

If you have a powerful/chosen one character and they die by getting shot I will riot aksksjd

Oh hun, you've never met the Travelling Shovel of Death have you? It was made to declutter big casts. (ie person gets hit in the head with a shovel and dies. BAM body count 1; 1 less person to write into scenes)

I do agree that... odd deaths should be addressed. I'd rather some character die by way of something that's perhaps a bit more realistic, (not like the 24 fatal illness from Osmosis Jones) but something that can be dramatic and fast hitting. For humans, although it might require research, TB could be a great thing to use over a rifle. It's our #1 killer.

YES NOW DO IT!! END IT!!! KILL THEM ALLLLL
BE LIKE THE OTHER MURDERERS IN THIS THREADDDD

(for the record, I am not one of them)

The most merciless thing ive done in my story is break a ps vita. UwU

I think the Meteor variant was more of a metaphor for some Deus ex machina ending. So I chose it. "MC suddenly pulls a sword of Gryffindor out of a hat brought to him by a phoenix" or some other nonsense like that =)

Dang, now I'm going to fall asleep wondering what's the most merciless thing I've done in my stories. Off the top of my head, maybe breaking ... a .... certain... someone's... soul.... And they're out of the story for over 2 weeks of time. Or, you know, nightmares. Cause I do nightmares.

Ok, I said "stop wherever you are", but if I really were to do that I'd still add a summary of where the story was going and how it was going to end, so as to give readers some sort of closure to the story.

Where's the option: "well i'm working on a new series here's a link" ?
