We're a pair that works mostly on comics for the "G" and "T" parts of the LGBT+ community! There's not a lot of this kind of content that mirrored the kinds of stories we're most interested in, so we decided to make some with older characters and diverse genres/stories. We are both 28!

That's awesome! Good to hear there's people who care.
I've tried teaching the younger kidlets in our after school program basic drawing skills, but the lessons usually devolve into me drawing cartoon dinosaurs for everybody. I've done a few presentations on comics at a local elementary school as a volunteer too.

Near pushing 40!

I've tried doing webcomics (or comics in general) since I was in high school, but always gave up for a number of reasons until I pretty much stopped drawing for a number of years.

It took some events in my life to get me to finally really start up a comic that I've somehow stuck with since late 2014. Since then, the comic has helped me keep better focus on things as well as make me attempt to improve my art.

This might be something to get some of your older kids into. Most of the homeless kids I worked with (then again, I worked mostly with teens and young adults) had a creative streak a mile wide and a desperate need to express.

I work in the admin field for a long time but my heart still remained in the artistic world haha I wish I could draw better but heyyy...here's my little comic on Tapas called "Bun's life" ^^ I've started this comic with the purpose to entertain people out there and also as a relaxing method for myself. I'm still new on Tapas so any feedbacks are welcomed!!

Hi. I'm almost 28, and it always was incredibly hard for me to combine any serious work with my hobbies (which mostly means studying my favorite themes on math and programming, playing videogames with permadeath and, later, drawing). I was extremly tired all the time which led to burnout and depression at some point. Now I'm just combining math studies at post-graduate school (it give some grants which are much less that normal programmer salary but better than nothing) and comics drawing, and it is more or less ok for now. It means that I'm still tired, but not extremly tired anymore.

28-year old game design student from Germany who is about to finish his bachelor thesis in some months while working as a part-time tutor and translator. Some fellow students said that I must be crazy to go work, study and create my manga at the same time. Well yeah, kinda, but since it was my routine since the beginning of my studies I'm used to my fully loaded schedules.

This thread is a great opportunity to dig in some hidden gems - and I'm still not through with the list. Literally heartbreaking how few viewers and readers most of you have, unbelievable. Hopefully I find the time to comment them all in future.

Since my first chapter ended recently I thought it might be a nice point to celebrate and promote it. Would be happy for every new potential reader who gives my manga a try.

unfortunately im part of this group~ 25 here, studied animation 2years and games design 3years,
realized i just like story telling so i started my webtoon after graduating,
wish i started early in my schooldays..
now a pain in the ass to do it while working at the same time

Hi! lol I am lol the oldest I seen in this thread. I am 39:sweat_smile: Worked mostly as a game illustrator, and do a web comic for fun on my free time. The comic is just based on some of my own experiences in life. Some of it might be to much of an inside joke with close friends and not really funny for most. I am going to continue to do this series and try to improve my "comedic writing" lol.

No, @GenghisKwan your not the oldest by a long shot. Several people here are in their 40's, I'm 49 turning 50 next month, and @andrew17 is the oldest one of us all at 55. He turns 56 a couple of days after I turn 50.

Actually, I'm so old I've lost count. Recalculating, I reckon I'm 54 and about to turn 55. The best way to work it out is by the Kennedy Assassination or the first broadcast of Doctor Who on the BBC - I'm one/two days older than that.

Hi Sarah Perhaps I'm too old- I'm 40 years old. I make a historical webcomic. It is a hobby that I'm currently deciding to treat as a (very much part-time) job. My day job is a psychopedagogue (that's in the educational psychology field) and a novelist. Regarding sequential art, I'm completely self taught, and I suppose my learning curve making this comic shows it.

though arts always been a hobby, I started carving out time to work on comics in 2017 as a reprieve from my full time job. I submitted Blackburn to the Webtoon contest this past summer and only made it out of first round with honorable mentions, but am continuing the series still.
