Ok I promised myself I would finish what I started and go through all of these, and I'm on a pretty quiet overnight shift so here we go. Join me on a saga of getting steadily more exhausted while going through like 100 comics. Sorry to some of the novel people, I will come back, I'm just getting pretty bleary eyed.
@Penni Oh dang I'm in a psychology masters too, that's rad. When I Saw You was really cute! I love the little physical details you throw in, it really captures that fluttery excitement of first meeting someone. Also it was a really cool choice to put it in second person, it gave it a very different feel than a lot of romance I'm used to reading, and made it feel more intimate.
@vfinnigan I'm not sure we share the same politics, but I think how you are incorporating artistic expression, activism and charity is really interesting and effective. It is cool to see more historical pieces on here, it's not a genre I've seen much in webcomics and I'm glad people are exploring it.
@Cavechan oh man this has that classic anime feel, right down to the dialogue and pacing. Also this is probably a weird compliment but your speech bubbles and use of tones is really on point? This was such a specific look to be going for and you really nailed it on the details. And your art improvement over the two stories is really impressive! Also that part with the flashlight and the cat in the tree in the first TP made me laugh out loud in a very quiet office, so thanks for that.
@feardeer ok I am really tired so this commentary is just going to get weird. I started reading and the plot is intriguing, and I was like, "I really like how this person draws and colours lips" and then I got to chapter 1 page 2 and like, ok HOW. That's so many tiny buildings HOW DARE YOU. Your comic is really wonderful and I am excited to read more of it.
@yozhikisblue Man my degree is in biology and now I'm doing a psych masters, there are a lot of life science people in this thread. Is this a conspiracy? Your work is a gorgeous depiction of very twisted looking people and I am all over it. Those smirks! The writing is lovely as well.
@DiegoPalacios look it is now 2am and I fully lost it at "the forest of dangers, the forest of other dangers". I have to admit when I first took a look I was like, ok funny premise but how would you keep this up for almost 70 episodes. But your dialogue is really really great, it totally works.
@gparsons I really love your linework. You're really prolific, which I imagine in part comes from working as a professional for so long. It's cool to see shorter style gag comics on here, I haven't actually seen a lot on this platform. I wonder if you would get more traffic by posting your one panels in smaller batches spread out over time so it stays in the new section for longer.
@Makkusu86 wow for someone who didn't plan on getting into manga you are producing some awesome work. Are you doing the art as well or just the writing, I was a little confused.
@kytri I just finished chapter one of the Worst Idea You've Ever Had. It's really great! You're great at making believable and unique characters that I already feel really invested in, and your plot pacing is really good. I'm excited to see how that plays out, and what happens in Crypts and Cantrips.
@storytimebiondi the way you use motion in your storytelling is so rad. The body language conveys so much, I'm just looking at the movement between the first two panels of page 6 of chapter one, and it's just so great. The writing is just spot on and then the body language, even what you do just with hair is like, ahhhh. I'm sorry it's now 3:30am and I am so tired and your work is very good.
