Mysterious! Metaphors are fun too.

Great to meet you, Prisim! I hope that Draygon Frost and Guardians of Calandria and any potential future novels get a good readerbase! We're always happy to have more writers 'round these parts.

Hi there Aykay! Reading what you wrote about discovering lots of cool things on Tapas... I definitely agree! So many talented people. We're happy to have you around, even if it's on the sidelines for now! Maybe I'll use my virtual ModCash™ to outfit said sidelines with a virtual fridge full of snacks. But aaanyways looking forward to when you get that cover and story out!!

Hi Pilot! Future Agents has a reaaally cool art style. The photographic background is so distinctive, and I love the way your characters are drawn on top of it. Kinda reminds of this trippy movie I once watched called Waking Life. Really glad that you decided to make Tapas a home for your series! Best of luck

Hello TechnoTanuki! Welcome to the community. We're happy to have you here! Hope to see you around

Greetings KJ! Changing up art styles is always a fun challenge. What inspired this change, if you don't mind me asking? Chibi art is so cute.

Another novelist enters the fray!! Hi Sarah! Great meeting you. I read through the beginning of Prometheus Reanimated and thought you nailed the early 20th century affable-but-kinda-stuffy voice, along with all the yummy descriptions that befits Cosmicist homage. Welcome, welcome!

Hello Ivan! Glad to hear you've been enjoying the community/platform. Love your work! Shackles is a lot of fun. Court intrigue, betrayals, ransom, floating downstream while pretending to be a corpse. All in a day's work :3

Hope to see more of your work in the future!!

Hi irene_addler, great to meet you! Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design sound like awesome things to major in. What got you into digital art?

Hi Sarah! Love your series description! Artwork/graphics for set dressing and props sounds awesome. Are you taking the paintbrush to the props or is there a machine that prints out designs that you create digitally? Great to meet you!

Hi there Anne! I hope this forum can provide both of those things to you! You have some awesome pictures in your DeviantArt btw, I wish I could have a really big hat like the one in "Perona" :tophat: . Love the colors! Hope to see you around!

Hi wnqs! Mythical beasts are the beeest. The intro thread was definitely due for a reboot! Now I can meet & greet all the friendly faces around these parts.

Thanks for the reintroduction GGY! Awesome meeting an old-timer

I hope that Over 8 Miles is less stressful than your graduate thesis! Great to have back.

Hi The Darkone! Threads would be very short without comments so you're fulfilling that essential duty with your replies! I hope that you can build up a good audience on Tapas! LitRPG's always a fun read.

The community's super awesome! Hope you have a comfy stay here!

Hi Ivori from the PNW! Great to meet you. Non-human fantasy characters have distinctive silhouettes and are a lot of fun! Best of luck towards your goal of creative projects full time!

Aww, it's good to have someone who supports you. I'm glad the forum's been so fun. Hope to see you around!

Hi there Jay! I hope that the transition from advertising to creative writing has been an easy one! Great to have you onboard, more writers the better.

Another novelist! Awesome meeting you, taylorlauren. I hope that you can find a fulfilling community and audience on Tapas!

Hello Jean-Luc/Mr. Toontastic! It sounds like you really enjoy cartoons. What kind are your favorite?

Hi Jamie! Great to meet you :sunglasses:

Wow, thank you for the detailed response! I really appreciate it. It does sound difficult to learn perspective at the same time as proportions, but it seems you've built up a large knowledge base despite that challenge, right on! Illustration sounds so difficult... y'all artists are amazing.

Hi Lina! I hope that your novel (Shadow's Prey, I'm guessing?) does great on Tapas! "A Feathered Thing With Teeth" is the best possible first chapter name. In fact, I like all of your chapter titles. Hope to chat with you in other threads! Great meeting you!

Hi Mado! You sound like a Renaissance person of many talents! I hope that SEVEN MILES DOWN gets 1st place in the Webtoons contest!

Love it!!

It was really just to have fun, because my main project is a long running comic book series, and it can take quite a toll on me sometimes. So doing a mini side project using chibi art style would not only allow me to draw something vastly different, but also allow me to experience and learn the concept of a short catchy comic strips (which is the style I adopted for the webcomic).
@desktop_dragon

I'm excited to see how they do here. Though also a little nervous since it's weird to be starting over somewhere else, total fish out of water feeling for sure :joy:

Howdy, howdy! Call me Skyla. I'm smol (both literally and figuratively) right now but hope to release a whole lot of comic pages in the coming years, and I'm really enjoying making new friends while I do it! I went to college to study animation, now I'm a comic-drawing cake decorator. I love drawing cutesie horror. And I'm really friendly if you ever need a critique or just wanna talk.

Here's my abomination of a comic. The prologue art is sketchy but I promise it gets better from here :joy:

Hi, I'm DanzoKei~ I used to be a creator under a different name on Tapas back in 2017 before I pretty much vanished into obscurities :sweat_02: Around that time, I was diagnosed with severe depression and wasn't able to draw anything for a year (I did attempt to draw during those times, but it was not easy). In 2019, I finally was able to draw, even though it's maybe a few times in a month, after taking medication and counseling for 2 years :tapa_pop:

Then, on September 2019, I posted a short comic called 'CEO-san & Hisho-kun' on Instagram, it was my first comic I did after 2 years & this meant a lot to me :cry_01: This simple comic of mine gathered quite the attention, so I continued posting more 'CEO-san & Hisho-kun' on Instagram for another few months before I decided to make it a proper comic :hype_01: On January 2020, I posted the first chapter of 'CEO-san & Hisho-kun' on Webtoon CANVAS, then I posted on Tapas a month later :cry_02: I really love to draw comics, so it crushed me when I wasn't able to do any for 2 years. But, now I'm able to make a fresh start and hoping to be able to get a job in the industry as a comic artist!

Sorry for the long post. It just has been a while since I posted anything on this forum and I'm feeling a bit awkward :sweat_02: But, I hope I could make friends here :blusht:

Also, this is my comic! It's a BL comedy slice of life story about the CEO & his secretary :supicious_stache:

Yo! I am Coda, a CodeMonkey who is an Artist/Writer at night! Though I have a small following on Tapas, I have really enjoyed this community far more than some others I have been on!

I am a big fan of horror, action, and romance. I mostly ready stories online than books and usually they fall under...well horror, action, and romance. Since my primary day time job is CodeMonkey, I don't have a lot of time to create a webcomic, so I work with novels. However, I do add insert art into my episodes since I love drawing my characters!

When I am not CodeMonkeying or drawing/writing, I hang out with my boiz (Hubby, toddler son, and two male corgis) as well as watch a whole lot of cartoons and competition shows, or playing WoW or Team Fight Tactics.

Here are my stories on Tapas:

Hello everyone

I am very glad to join this community. I have been reading webtoons for years and started making mine quite recently.
I am eager to read about everyone's processes since creating comics is a very lonesome work.

I live in France, I like cute animals and cake :sunny:
My job is graphic designer, specialized in typography (if anybody has questions about that, I can help).
I draw comics for fun and to help me understand life!

Have a nice day people :lemon:

Aww so cute. Yeah you are definitely right.
maybe mine calm down in 1 year. I hope so. So much enery ist way too much :joy:

Ah thank you very much!! I'm very happy to hear that you like my work. It's really an honor.
Also that's a very good way of summing up Shackles!

Hello, I'm Gesu! I'm an old-time creator here, and my first uploaded comic was back in March 2016!

My latest comic after taking over a year break from regular updates is a show of my learning progress in terms of drawing efficiency, pacing, and formatting for scroll webcomics.

psst, I also joined the Webtoon short story contest, please rate and comment my post here:

Hello there, my name is Daniel. i'm 20 years old, i was studying cinema but i had to give it a break because of the pandemic and everthing.

cinema is not the area i want to work with i want to work with animation. i have this project i want make of an animated series and wanted to start as a webcomic, i'm still develping it but i got to start somewhere.

so i had lot of free time and decided to pratice my art skills. i did it for a few weeks and then decided to redraw some old art i came across a stylized version of batman and spider-man,that i did last year and i remeber an idea i had about a crossover fan comic, and decided to make it.

now i have first published web comic, the first step in the direction of doing my own series, the name is bat and spider, its silly and lighthearted and not perfect, its my first comic, I hope to improve a lot doing it and any suport would be really helpfull, so far people seem to be liking it, and i'm liking it too.

I hope you all have a great day and its nice to be part of this comunity.

Hi there~

I'm Carossmo, and I'm a cartoonist and 2D paperless (frame by frame) animator. I have been working for 5 years now. Hobbies would have to be playing video games and some photography ahaha

I have actually been on Tapas since 2013... But I became more active around 2017 whoops! Though I am pretty new to the forums :''') I try my best to stay active, either lurking around or making/participating in threads.

My webcomic is called "LnR". Mostly spice of life and some some episodes are based on a true story~

Nice to meet you @desktop_dragon! It's been fun here in the forums
