Finish a short comic with your current skill level,
script, thumbnails, sketches, ink, color, lettering
Then get into the review mode. Review it yourself first,
what can be done better. Example from my experience:
character sheets before making the comic are a good idea.
Then show the comic to experienced artists that you trust.
I did this with specific questions and for random critique.
The learning effect was huge and I got some great advice.
Then prepare the next short comic and that´s the point
where you improve your skills because you learned from
the first comic.
There are some things that you only learn when creating sequential
art but I also think it´s good to take little breaks between pages and
improve on things that you still suck at and learn some fundamentals,
practice some basics. And I also think it´s a mistake to only practice
basics and to wait for a certain "good enough" moment because
that moment will never come
