In a way. Trinity Blood was a huge inspiration, but mostly the actual story and the illustrations for the novels, rather than the manga or the anime.

There is one comic that I got inspired to make my own, it is called Kingdom by Yasuhisa Hara. I love the panels of the battle scene and the size of the characters look massive, fierce, and frightening.

The rest is inspired by the history of empires, nations, and real-life heroes, generals, and leaders from the bronze age all the way to the rise of the german empire.

No. Everything I have ever drawn was done so independently from the knowledge of the existence of the comics made before me. This whole time, I thought I invented the darn thing.

yes and no. there are comics whose stories inspired me but my drive came from things that those stories lacked or just media in general so im making the stuff i wanna see since mainstream likely wont be doing it anytime soon :sip:

Spawn, ghost rider, sailor moon, 2019 Buffy the vampire slayer comic run, just to name a few.

I'm inspired by everything I watch and everything I like, but that goes beyond comics/manga! It would take too much time to list everything, because there are too many to name (lol)

For me storyline-wise, no. But in terms of art style, I have developed my style with the help of some mangaka and artists from Instagram!
For an example, a romance mangaka "Yasuko", and an Instagram artist "Reyhansartwork"
There are many more~

I grew up reading newspaper comics, and my two biggest favorites were Charles Schulz's Peanuts and Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes. I also enjoyed Garfield, The Far Side, and FoxTrot (I miss when Bill Amend did daily strips sometimes).

I discovered webcomics just before I hit college. Sluggy Freelance was my gateway, but of the dozens I read, Megatokyo was my biggest influence. The pencil artwork is really good, plus I learned panel layouts and not having to end every page with a punchline so long as the story keeps moving.

Kiyohiko Azuma's works (Azumanga Daioh, Yotsuba&!) never cease to amuse me how they find humor in the mundane and everyday.

My comic was somewhat inspired by manga - but in art style only. Otherwise, it is influenced by all the classic works of Western literature I have read or studied, such as The Chronicles of Narnia, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, The Lord of the Rings and others. I deliberately used an old-fashioned form of English as a counterpoint to anime worlds like Toriyama’s Dragon World, which use modern slang. Also, in contrast to the Dragon World, my world is technologically backward.

Yes, but I forgot which ones it was.¯_(ツ)_/¯

My two series Crusaded Defender, is heavily inspired by Hunter x Hunter, while Agents of Salvation has more of a Monster vibe but with battles, I also have more series in the future that I plan to make that will have inspiration from other series.

Well the comics that inspired my series are the classic Archie Comics, an obscure goth comic called Little Gloomy, and a lot of those Sunday morning news paper funny strips.

My comic was mainly inspired by Jojo's (especially art-wise) and it later got influenced by other manga such as Attack On Titan, FMA and Berserk.

gundam and power rangers both are the main inspirations of my comic though not the manga/comic exactly the frachieses yes

The two comics I’m working on are inspired by sci-fi comics & manga like:

Green Lantern
Legion of Super-Heroes
Guardians of the Galaxy
Tenchi Muyo!
Gold Digger
Star Wars
A Certain Scientific Railgun
X-Men
Black Magic
El-Hazard

My art is inspired by a lot of artist I stalk on twitter but the main inspiration for my comic was an anime called Sword Art Online. I believe there was so many possibilities with the theme but they just didn't.. took their chance..? Idk

Anyways, I'm inspired by the anime, I even put couple of parody characters in my comic as a tribute to the anime but I'm going for a whole different direction with my story. Some of my characters might look pretty similar with the anime but their personalities are waaaay different and my villain's aim has nothing to do with the anime, also my MC isn't even a MC material at all.. Anyone could've been her.. but it just happens to be her. Not a chosen one, just a regular person.

Also my story involves a lot of LGBTQ+ people, my main being one of them.

it is partially! i was inspired by the mangas majin tantei nougami neuro, and mob psycho ^_^ i also think this is pretty obvious looking at her design, but my deuteragonist ottilie is inspired by various anime tropes (characters like nanami from utena, kokomi from saiki k . . . i don't know how else to describe it LOL)
