Ahh I love that you want to share korean culture! Originally, I wanted to post on naver webtoon, but after thinking about it, I found that it was easier to build an audience on line. It was tough sometimes, because korean has a lot of sound effects and phrases that wouldn't make sense in English. I still have a hard time using American names though lol. For the story, I wanted to challenge myself by creating a story that would be under 10 episodes, but still have enough content to make sense.

I grew up watching battle shonen anime. The stories, fights, powers, and characters were like the most amazing thing in the world to me. I thought back then it would be awesome if someone took a lot of the best parts from the stories and combined them into a new story. Kind of like marvel super heroes coming together for one big movie. This idea changed over time, so I ended up writing my own battle shonen inspired story (wanted to do a webcomic, but I can't draw). I'm just hoping to one day entertain and inspire others, like the many shonen writers did for me.

This is actually a rewritten story. The original had Mythicals in hiding, not the power imbalance that's there now with the MYthicals being out in the open. And Kerren actually started as a Dangan Ronpa oc, but I wanted to do more with him, so I started adding magic and an old Grim Reaper Oc, and thus, a Silvertongue's Tale was born. honestly, I'm liking the rewrite a lot more because we get more insight as to why Kerren is a bit of a people pleaser sometimes (mainly when he's partly outta the traumatic section)

I have been drawing comics and publishing them here on Tapas and Webtoons since I was 14. It's been 5 years now and I still haven't made a project that I genuinely enjoy making. I get discouraged quickly so when the outcome doesn't come out as expected I lose motivation, which led me in starting new comics and ending them as soon as I update the first episode. This is my project where Im not exactly aiming for any goals, it's more of a personal project.

The story focuses on Andrew and his love life and mostly shows his interactions with his group of friends who are labelled as bad students. The story is a little slow at the start but it will get interesting later on! Right now I just wanna show how the characters interact with one another.

I was struck with the thunderbolt of inspiration in the middle of the day and pumped out a cathartic short of a story in three parts in a haze of creative fervor. Then I had this story sitting around and desperately wanted to get it out there.... so I did. Over the course of publishing in parts I wanted to extend the story and decided to make that short story the first of three parts. I wanted to give the characters more of a journey and some sort of ending.

Talipandas is something I've been thinking about since my first writing "gig" but I was such a lazy ass back then (even now). The reason why I wrote this is because I can't find a reincarnation/transmigration story that fits to my liking so I thought to myself, "Why not just write something that will satisfy you?" and that's how it became this. there's many versions, rough drafts, "X"-ed works but I'm happy with how this turned out. Devil's Triangle was inspired by real life people and families that made me think "What if this relationship was taken to the extreme?" From there, it easily became a murder mystery and I wanted to emphasize different parenting techniques in the novel because too often, parents are portrayed in a (completely) negative light. Add technology into the mix and it shows how parenting has to change in this new era of social media.

Shackles was inspired by the ending of the Hua Mulan (2007) movie! I absolutely loved the struggle between personal desire and wanting what's best for one's country.

Finally, Dark Bytes is a collection of short stories that I've written over the years. In a way, it's my favorite project because I love to touch on different scifi topics and bring it to life in various ways. Also, writing action is so fun!

I used to make comics all the time as a kid, but stopped midway through high school. I always wanted to get back into it, but never had time until after I graduated college. I tried a couple of ideas that I never got past the first few pages. Nothing that I was willing to put online.

Then one day I doodled some random character designs, doodled a few more, and then realized abruptly I'd already come up with personalities and a basic plot for them. It went through a few changes and Rocksteady Mining Co. was the result!

I wrote down in my notebook that I wanted to write a story about early 20th century Spiritualism then a random MC popped in my head. After bouncing him around and figuring out what to do with him, I decided he fit best in the story I’m writing now

Why I’m writing it is because Spiritualism has always interested me and while doing research on it, I discovered the formation of the Spiritual churches in New Orleans (and I needed a predominantly black community anyway).

Moreover, I aim to add as much diversity in my stories as possible and write stories that I don’t see a lot on tapas (you gotta search high and low for black queer characters) so I was like, I’ll do it! And I somehow love writing historical fiction so

The Last Goddess came from my love all things mythological. My reason for writing it was two-fold. One, I absolutely adored the idea of making my own original pantheon with a mix of multiple cultures and creating a whole new world. Secondly, when I started this book, I had reached a point in my reading life where I was like, "WHY IS EVERYTHING A SERIES!?!?! Can't there be just one novel for once??" So, I decided to make a story that will only be one novel! As of now, I have no intention of making a sequel. Tempest, on the other hand, is a series I have planned for a long time. I started it a few years back with the intention of making my own superhero story! Being a lover of most things superhero, I couldn't help but make up a story about a hardcore superhero fangirl who mysteriously gets powers from a hidden lab. It wasn't so much about making an original tale (although, I hope it is!), but rather an homage to the stories I grew up admiring. So this is a story I wrote a couple years ago and am now editing a bit, and also adding some stuff to. When I originally wrote it, I was dealing with depression and wasn't really feeling like myself. My writing wasn't going well either, mostly because the stories I was writing weren't what I wanted to work on at the time because of my own issues. Then I decided I might as well try writing something new, and fun. Something that was all about the things I love, to see if that could distract me. So I decided to play around with comic book cliches and looking at masked heroes through a regular person's perspective, while throwing in some romance and humor. I ended up having fun with it, and it's a story that really helped me feel better, so it's one I really have a lot of appreciation for.

I really like this idea! This is kind of like gushing about why you like your own story!

All Good Things is a story I've been waiting a looong time to draw. The characters were first written in high school in a completely different state to how they are now and with a different plot, but I still had an attachment to them even way back then. The two main characters both have a little bit of myself in them, mostly things that troubled me from back then, that I can articulate now into the plot. Their comfort characters in how they interact, drawing their stupid expressions, and figuring out how they get through stuff. It's just kind of fun across the board, but they still have their problems to get over. After watching a bunch of musicals and drama, I kind of realized the kind of story I want them to be, and I fee like I'm finally getting there.

It's kind of hard to explain exactly, I guess. Just seeing characters that I've had for almost a decade finally do a plot that is very dear to me is just kind magical to me in a way that I can't really pinpoint. Their issues are my issues, and by putting them through some of the things I didn't know how to deal with when I was their age I can see a different perspective entirely.

Finding Meaning in Life
My writer and I are really fascinated with what happens to people that are either so rich, so talented or have things so easy in life, they tend to become aimless with no goals or aspirations. It's interesting because a lot of people aspire to it especially in this day of hype culture and the internet but in getting everything you ever wanted you usually lose your drive to move forward for more, so we decided to make a story about it but through the lens of a shonen/seinen battle manga

I started writing this story in middle school, over a decade ago. It has stuck with me and grown through the years as I have. At first, I just needed an escape and this was one of the stories I created that I would hide in. Now that I'm older, I've developed this story so much and it has been through so much with me that I have to finish it. I've always felt this compulsion to get it out and present it before anyone who would want to read it, because maybe someone who needs it would find a place to hide in it for a while as well.

As for what I love about it...I love how much it has matured over the years. I love that it is a story that is a lot more complex than what it seems and the tropes at play have their own twists. I like to believe that it isn't what people expect because that was my intention, but I don't have enough readers that aren't family or friends to confirm that at this time.

I also love that the romance isn't the typical "bad guy falls for innocent girl and she saves him" trope. Nor is the the female love interest a "damsel in distress". She may enjoy cooking and sewing and isn't as athletic as he is, but she isn't helpless in certain situations. She learns about herself just as much as he learns about himself through the story and grows.
