Realistically speaking, is your MC a likable person irl?

If giant sentient fruits existed in the real world, the Action Fruits would definitely have a hard time fitting in. But yes, they would be likeable to those who like them back.

He wasn't at first, in fact he was kind of an arrogant prick, but his character growth is a big part of the plot. Heck, it's pretty much the title: Finding Daecon's Way.

Technically speaking, we wouldn't be able to understand each other very well. In canon none of my characters know a word of English, since English as a language wouldn't exist in their world. I only speak a little bit of my conlang Agalatian, so we could have maybe a basic conversation.
Ignoring the language barrier, the (current focus) main character, Hrann, is a fairly sweet and friendly person, although she's fairly introverted so she might not be keen on too much socializing.

But this whole idea of "if your character was real" just feels very odd to me, like idk genuinely thinking about it gives me a headache lol.

No, they're very distant from people due to being abandoned. They also have a tendency to ignore people in need because they're dead set on their quest. They'll have to deal with all of that over the course of the story

Of my three main characters the story is following (Baul, Isador, and Gavin), only one you would want to be friends with in real life.

Gavin is a normal guy that respects his friends and generally would be a great guy to hang out with. While he doesn't have a lot of friends, the ones he has he cares deeply for. He's generally likeable. He treats others well as long as he is treated well in return. Also someone you can joke around with, not being offended easily.

Isador could be an acquaintance at best for most people. She is a little distance to those she doesn't like but doesn't go out of her way to be impolite. To people around her, money would be no object and she can put a front up in social situations that need to happen. She knows how to act around people and can mix in with most people pretty easily.

Baul is not someone you would want to be around unless somehow you are part of her circle (which is basically Isador). She literally wouldn't lose any sleep by killing you for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. She has zero patience and quick to anger. (hence the name of the book: Little Ball of Hate.) And she has the strength to rip you in half if she chose to. She also, until meeting Gavin, only really cared about one person, Isador.

Well my main character Roland is not human so he might not be accepted by the broader society, but if he pretends to be a cosplayer maybe he could get by. In terms of personality I think he's a nice guy and a good dependable friend. Seems like he should be able to get along with people once they look past his appearance.

Ohhhhhhh... no. Donnie constantly semi-emptily threatens the other kids at his school, would likely be viewed as rather unsocial due to him staying mostly to himself, and when he isn't, is chatting it up with school bully.

Also, he's four times older then anyone else in his grade, so I imagine he's often pictured as somewhat of a dimwit.

I have three main characters. Randy is extremely likeable. Her mission is to make as many friends as possible and she's very good at it. She's a cinnamon roll through-and-through.

Ragna and Ravening? Absolutely not. They're both massive assholes, and ontop of that Ravening is evil. That's all part of the heroes journey. Growing and becoming a better/more likeable person. It's very Scott Pilgrim inspired in that respect.

Ehhhh depends. When you don't know Evangeline, she can be cold and serious. She takes her job seriously, and will only focus on the task in front of her.

To those who know her, it isn't better or worst. She is still serious, but she becomes more likeable to those she is close with.

I'd say likely- it depends on who. The first and second main characters both of them fit pretty neatly into the general social atmosphere. It's not as if they aren't flawed though, it's the same for most normal people that you won't see their worst sides until they are pushed into a situation where you're gonna see it. They're both pretty average and easy to get along with.

Manny on the other hand has some problems with being dishonest and likes to shortcut everything, he is not the kind of person who can handle power of any kind well and it's backfired on him over and over that's shown in the story. He's full of himself and totally deluded, that's cost him a lot in life.
Your litmus test of tolerance would be playing a game of mario kart or something with him, cause you probably won't win and it's not your fault.

I dunno. Maor doesn't have strong personality or opinions. Introvert, not so sociable. Follow routines & duty-driven, inflexible mind, but able to have creative ideas sometimes. Can go a good length when his mind is set. May resort to lie when he have to but not a very good liar. Respects older people or authority/power. Can be slacky when don't see the need to work at the moment. (hehehe he's just like a very young Japanese worker)

Zessen is pretty rude and has an arrogant streak, so probably not lol. She's honest though so you know whatever opinion she has its legit

For Crow's Worth, Crow seems like someone I would hate to be around. I do think he learns empathy but he's just very childish and impulsive. As the series went on, I intentionally made his foil nicer as the series progressed. Miss would also be difficult to be around.

For Frostpeak West, I think I could tolerate them more. I don't know if other people can tolerate 12 year olds but I tend to me good with kids. Plus I see them as my children so of course I'm. not going to hate them. Plus the adults I wanted to be very nice, like people you would want to hang out with.

Probably not. At least not at first.

Arq is a bitter, short-tempered, violent guy dealing with generational trauma and loss of freedom and culture, working in a criminal enterprise in a slum where kindness is a luxury. He can be darkly funny, and he is loyal, talented, and a team player. He’s pretty unlikeable, though, so I have been surprised that some readers seem to really enjoy him. He does have a growth arc, but it is slow.

I suppose if I count Wellington as one of the main characters in Cracking Eggs (in the second book) he is liked, feared and despised in their universe.

Liked because he pleases the British government with his astounding achievements with vast improvements with food quality and safety. Keeps a lotta lawsuits from happening and scandals.

Feared because Wellington is sometimes seen as ruthless by some people. When a new restaurant or business opens, he has to inspect every nook and cranny because that’s how he rolls. If anything suspicious he suspects, he’s gonna have to shut your place down because it’s required by law.

Despised by certain people because he was the man who conducted the study that not washing eggs was a cost effective and natural method for the salmonella outbreaks in the 1980s. Yet people find his study contradictory to his core beliefs. He want’s everything clean yet he puts up for this. He however can back it up because his parents were chicken farmers.

I dunno how people in the real world would think of this man, but he may come across as bureaucratic yet an oddball. Just like in the comics.

Depends on the kind of person you like, I guess Saku cares about not hurting others, but he doesn't care as much about helping others when they're hurt, and he has a tendency to play oblivious to avoid addressing uncomfortable things, which could be aggravating. He'll be straight with you if you're the one who brings it up directly though; he just won't take the initiative himself (though he does start to over the course of the story, at least with people he actually cares to maintain a relationship with)
