The number one thing I love about my story is how much its grown from what I'd first envisioned for it. It's based on an old MMORPG I used to play, and while I'd intended to basically write the game's missions with my own cast of main characters, accompanied by the NPC's everyone meets while playing, it's turned into such a bigger, grander scale story.
I've come up with so many things not found or relevant to the game, so many reasons for why someone or something in the game is the way it is despite not being told ingame, and creating my own missions and equipment; that way, even fellow players have something new and fun to experience with the universe that we've spent thousands of hours experiencing, and continue to enjoy.
It saddens me to know the game will never be finished because the developers gave up right before the end, but I'll be damned before I stop writing my own story for Spiral Knights.
