You just have to make the microphone body longer and thinner + make it black and it´s a perfect
microphone. There is no reason why you shouldn´t be able to draw a microphone with your drawing
skills. The one that you drew would also go through as a microphone because people would see
it in context.

A microphone is just a circle and a long cylinder

I love the lizard btw

Fun fact about microphones - there's this multimedia franchise called Hypnosis Microphone which as you can guess from the title, would feature microphones quite heavily. It has some ongoing mangas (this series has fuck ton of characters, so instead of trying to handle them all at once, each manga focuses on smaller group of characters) and artist behind one of them either also struggled drawing microphones or couldn't be bothered to draw them more than once since all the panels with microphones would feature the same, copy pasted and scaled microphone (I wouldn't be surprised if it actually came from clips studio assets 'xD)

Just like you, I have a hard time drawing objects and backgrounds. That's why I tend to use a lot of assets or Google image and just trace it. It helps a lot actually

Drawing my MC. :sob: I draw him the most! It should be easy! But no. Faces are really hard.

Also static poses. Dynamic poses and movements are absolutely fine, but standing still or sitting down? Terrible.

I have a character later on whose entire gimmick is animal forms, so I should probably uh. Learn how to actually draw animals well??

A more generic one is crossed arms. Despite drawing characters with crossed arms all the time, I still mess it up sometimes and I'm not sure why, lol.

The backgrounds!!! >< I'm terrible, I only know how to draw people and some animals. Buildings are my headache, I know there are tools on the internet that help me with that work, but I have tried. They are not the most perfect structures I would like to see, as I have them in my head, but well...

I'm way to used to draw detailed or complicated stuff, ask me to draw any of these, maybe on the 10th try I'll get it somewhat right lmao

^This. My lettering is kinda terrible, and you think it wouldn't be since I handletter my whole comic. Although when it comes to writing on a whiteboard with those fat markers the lettering is perfection, I don't understand it.

Aw, you didn't have to, but thanks so much for the advice! Anything helps

You overestimate my drawing skills lol. It's just a million problems dressed up in a pretty trench coat.

Maybe you underestimate your drawing skills :stuck_out_tongue:
But seriously, when you can draw a straight line and a circle, you can draw
a microphone. And you can still trace it

I'll be deep in my grave before I'll draw a decent background. My ADHD just won't allow it. Backgrounds are the opposite of a dopamine rush. It's like cleaning a toilet on the "fun" scale.

Perspectives. I thought I was good at it but I recently realised I don't know shit about using vanishing points and 2 or 3 point perspective lines.

Ugh, same! Hands are such a pain, and rarely look like I want. There's one panel where I completely forgot to draw fingers on my character! Didn't notice until it was up, LOL!

with all my drawing and studying people's faces you would expect that I can recognize people's faces easily and such. That is not true at all.
I have some pretty bad same face syndrome too.
