Atm in my comic there was a scene of glass/magic shield breaking. That's Himuri in the very moment he got the scars I draw him with and boy will his quality of life go downhill from there. In the world where the story is taking place his kind of scars are kind of disability that you're stuck with for life. You know, broken soul and stuff. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

HUGE Splitting Image Spoilers!

• Mortimer has it rough, not actually having killed his own brother in any way but he refuses to say it, because it'd make Dylan look pathetic for saving the life of his idiot twin in place of his own. Between this and half of the kingdom wanting him dead and gone from their lives, no wonder he self-harms by repeatedly trying to carve ley line-disrupting runes into his own hands to remove his own magic forever. It doesn't work, flesh isn't a viable way to make that rune work, but it's the only way he thinks he can atone, until other options are introduced.
• I hope I can write Mortimer and Veriesin's relationship right! She's a knucklehead and at first thinks that Mortimer will stop self-harming if she just makes him have fun, but eventually notices that he won't listen to her(and worse, think he deserves the poor advice) if she won't listen to him about her anxiety-borne anger. Then eventually they get together because Mortimer loves a person stronger than he is.
• The "villain", Dark Lord Nycticorax, is someone very close to the main characters, but not actually the person they think it is! Because they all listen to too many stories and think it's poetic that a noble person would turn evil; but no, it's something way scarier in hindsight.
• And the villain ain't even the first person. How about someone even closer to them. And worse, someone who's seen this story play out a thousand times, and purposefully uses unrest and grief to keep their plan going.
• I noticed I was tiptoeing around non-antagonist death too much for this kind of tone, but thankfully, one character was just right for this situation, and he's crazy and hates the main cast. Nice.
• Did I say Mortimer has it rough? Oh no, I've yet to mention the thing about black magic. It's inherently selfish because it steals soul juice from other living creatures, which only makes them tired - but if you're too obsessed with not causing anymore trouble and start using your own soul juice, your body starts to fail because it's taking too much energy from a single source. Here's hoping they'll figure that one out in time.

Since not very many people on the forum read my comic, sure! I have a few things.

GIANT, NASTY SPOILERS for TGtaHR:

• It's revealed...ish that Julian has cancer, later on detailing that they have stage 4 CLL, and they're also in the early stages of lung cancer.
• Danial tries to murder both Julian and Apollo.
• Apollo attempts suicide but doesn't admit to it after being saved by his coworker. He still checks himself into a mental hospital for a little bit anyway.

Summary

Gonna keep these kinda vague-ish just in case. I’m still leaving out a lot of important details even latched on to these spoilers. And I won’t touch on side characters, though they’ll still be important.

1) Roenan’s late father was the true heir to the Vernajjian throne, making Roenan the “next in line” - and it’s why Brontt wants to use him. (Also, his mother attempted to kill their family to save them from the torturous life/death they would have endured under the Vernajjians, if captured).
2) Roenan will have to marry Jayyna (for those who don’t know - Jayyna is his boyfriend’s sister). Some big things happen with these two.
3) Drakke nearly dies while getting Roenan back to Jaeda, but is saved by a mysterious man (who turns out to be someone connected to the main characters). Drakke becomes a “darker” version of himself and revengeful. He will also acquire a cat (Not really a spoiler, but: I originally intended to kill Drakke off completely at the end of my first book. It was the story I first imagined in my head. I was going to have readers grow attached to Drakke before killing him off. Then Roenan was eventually end up with Saive. But as I wrote the characters and began to understand them myself [while creating new developments], I changed my mind. I ended up making Saive Roenan’s cousin).
5) Saive will eventually grow close to a female character who will be the only one capable of cracking into his emotions (besides Roenan and occasionally Zykk).
6) It is intended to be an overall satisfying ending for readers, after that dark wild ride I’ve been putting them all through.

• Adonis doesn't remember who his real parents were or if he ever knew them. He's been around so long that memories just fade into each other. People he's known have come and gone, some dead forever, and he just moves on. This is at the end of the second bonus content comic, where he tells Sandra this after he reveals his true family is really just her and his ghouls.

Spoilers: To Rise Again in the Apocalypse

1. The original Li XinWen is not truly dead
2. Their current timeline is Timeline C
3. In Timeline A, original Li XinWen died in the apocalypse. Xue Rui gave up on living so Li JingHua and Sun Xiao struggled for a while before dying. Like the cultivator Li XinWen, Li JingHua's soul went back to the past (Timeline C). But unlike the cultivator Li XinWen, because the soul is compatible, rather than future Li JingHua taking over its more like the soul fused together.
4. Timeline B: In this timeline, Li XinWen somehow survived, and the four of them continued to fight for survivality. Li JingHua have heard Li XinWen's explanation and they are now closer than ever. But the Li JingHua in this timeline cannot move on from Xue Rui so it becomes this timeline's Li XinWen's regret. They did not get to survive past five years through the apocalypse when they died under the zombie horde attacking their base. This time's Li XinWen's soul was supposed to also go back to the past (timeline C) but the soul met with the cultivator Li XinWen, and due to the heavenly treasure from LongXing, this timeline's Li XinWen were absorbed. But before he was fully absorbed, he managed to make a deal with the cultivator Li XinWen to keep his family safe, which is why the cultivator Li XinWen is protective even though he had just arrived.
5. Timeline C: Cultivator Li XinWen with the absorbed soul of future Li XinWen got to the comatose Li XinWen's body. Due to Li XinWen's soul is heavily damaged, he had forgotten the deal but somehow, his soul remembered it (since his soul also contains soul from Li XinWen of timeline B).
6. Li XinWen's dao partner is Sun Xiao

I feel better writing those out. I don't have anywhere to let it out and just writing it for me to see doesn't help. At least here, there may or may not be anyone reading it but there is a chance that someone will. Just that thought is good enough

NTN Spoiler thing

Summary

Not so much of a spoiler as a thing that's been part of the plot and I can't figure out how to just like... edge it in....
The "gods" of the story, as we find out aren't really gods but some form of humans more or less. Right? they live - and I figured this all out years ago - 10 cycles as a human, gathering and collecting their memories and so on, and then on the 11th cycle have a choice to continue or become one of the .... more or less deathless beings that are now referred to as gods. Will himself is one such being, kind of - he's on his 10th cycle of life, and this is why he has such a high affinity with some thing that's a magical power that i'm not sure readers have caught on to.... hahahhahaha OTL
