:joy::joy:

lmao, fuck me :joy: maybe I should post chapter chunks then?

edit- yeah, no. I'm not about that life. I just want to bring people enjoyment.

I would definitely suggest in chapter chunks! My longest chapter on tapas is 2.2k words and I considered splitting it in two but there wasn't a good natural splitting point

Not going to complain about that. I could make a genuine upload schedule by doing chunks... lord knows they're long enough. The concept of it is weird to me though.

And yeah, slight bit.

I write romance novels (and some sci-fi), so its one of the several apexes.

Be sure to post your link here once you start posting! I love me some romance so I'll be sure to check it out!

Hi! What @WillowTree said is good advice  being active on the forums will definitely be good for you - a lot of my initial readers were other creators (which is amazing because all the creators understand how important liking and commenting on episodes is )

I actually just ran across this post a couple days ago and still had the tab open - you might find it helpful

So, some of this might be duplicate advice from that link, but things that I’ve found helpful as both a reader and writer would include:

ALWAYS writing something in the authors note section. I go from tiny commentary on my characters to (over)sharing about my personal life :see_no_evil: and everything in between. It honestly makes me really sad when I read stories and the author doesn’t put anything there

Reply to comments. Even if it’s just a smiley or a quick thank you. Just do it. Every time. Tapas has a really fantastic community aspect to it, so anything you can do to contribute to it will be good for you.

Figure out an upload schedule that works for you and stick with it. Everyone is going to have a different answer about what works for them. Personally, I upload M/W/F at 8am Pacific and that’s worked for me. Sounds like you already have some experience with upload schedules, though

I’m going to stop rambling on, but hopefully something from that mess was helpful  best of luck! And add your story link to your profile here whenever you create it!

Splitting up is smart to do.
I did that after chapter 30. Coming from wp I Didn't know. I just do the title and then part 1 or 2 or 3. and keep them around 1k.

furthermore welcome and good luck!

YOU DIDN'T SAY IT WAS MALE MALE ROMANCE!!! Yay!! My favorite genre! Royalty! I am here for this!

Oh! also if you put /info at the end of your link then it'll pop out like this!

You can either add /info to the end of your link or you can toggle over to “details” on your story page before copying the link  always here for a good mxm story

Also, you really should add your story link into your profile here - I’ve found quite a few stories on non-promo threads just from people talking passionately about their stories or characters (or even just their writing style) and their user name isn’t always the same from Tapas to the forums, so it’s really helpful to have one more link set up

I second the adding the link to profile here on the forums! I regularly click on peoples profiles to see what they're writing!

Hi and welcome to the forums :hugging: what everyone else said, also since you have a lot in each of your chapters, beaming them down and posting frequently will give you a good amount of updates. Frequent updates keep you high up on fresh and increases your visibility.

There are a lot of BL, lgbtq+ story topics floating around if you want to introduce your story there. I’ve found that being active in the forums and being active under people’s stories is super helpful. It helps increase your visibility to other people under their stories and you create friendships with them/network, especially with people who write in the same genre as you
