Oh wow! I am so excited, I will adapt a fanfiction that I finished years ago. Is it ok if it's in Spanish right? Regards!

Just a notice that it looks like they've added a few simple format tools to the Novel app, mainly just Bold and Italics from the looks of it. Thanks Tapas!

This is amazing! We've been waiting for something like this because we're a team of a writer and an illustrator, and we wanted to publish some novels as well. Thank you so much!

15000 characters, not words. That are about 10 "standard pages", which equals ( from my experience) roughly 2500 words in the german language, probably a bit more in the english language (because of shorter words), but certainly less than 4000 words.
So definitly not one of your chapers, but still quite a big chunk for something that is supposed to be "bite sized", that's true ^^

On another note: The Bold and Italic are quite important and helpful tools for writting. I'm looking forward to what comes next, but the current set of tools seems sufficient for the basic writing of any kind at the moment ^^

Quick update:

With the new iOS and Android updates, we've fixed a few bugs on the novel side, including:

  • Special character recognition for the app (text copied from word processors, curly quotes, accent marks, etc.)

  • Thumbnails on Android

Now that these have been fixed, stay tuned for Staff Picked Novels and free novels in the Daily Snack!

In the meantime, please continue using Tapas and sending us any bugs or feedback you may find. Thank you for helping us build a better platform!

I noticed that when I uploaded the first part of my short story collection, it didn't show up on the app. Is this a bug? Or did I do something wrong?

I'm currently working on a thumbnail and banner for it, but have used a placeholder for now. Is that the problem?

Yes, that's it. I'm not sure why it's not loading correctly whenever I open it in the app. Strange!

I created a new novel series on Tapas, but when I go to add an episode, it asks for an image file. Did I accidentally create another comic and now I have to delete this series and create it again the right way?

Hey, I found a little bug (or at least an issue) in the tapas app.

Normal comic episodes show the description below, while novels don't. Which I do find problematic, since in the description can be quite some important informartion.
I get that text followed by text might lead to some confusion in some cases. But there are options to mark the ending of the episode and the start of the description which you could implement (for examble a black bar).

So I hope that descriptions of novel episodes become accessible through the app as well.

Yes, you most likely created a comic series instead of a novel series and will have to create a new novel series to get into the proper online editor.

Hmm which series are you looking at and what is the model of your phone? I am looking at several free series on the iOS app and see episode descriptions/author's notes at the end separated by the creator's icon. Premium novels don't have episode descriptions.

Yes, I do see the descriptions on iOS but not Android. Will report this to dev team now! Thanks for giving us the heads up and sorry for the inconvenience!
