@WinterRobinhood I just saw my sub count as well and I'm crying with you. This is so surprising and I cried even harder when I saw it on staff's picks.

Pinch me!

I won't lie, I'm very jealous of you two, but congrats.

@WinterRobinhood @onyefrankie I feel you guys ;w; I told my best friend that I worked on the plot for my novel for a month and didnt think anyone would enjoy it until I saw it on Staff Picks and nearly cried.

I just started a new job, so it's been difficult, but I finally got my first episode posted. I'm so glad I had a pile of old NaNoWriMo projects to choose from, even if I've rewritten it all anyway. It was originally a pretty straightforward superhero story, but I cut a lot of the superhero tropes from the rewrite and replaced them with things drawn from other genres.

Holy cow! Seeing the amazing concepts and worlds you all are writing is gonna be exciting to check out and read. It makes me even more eager to work on mine to the finish too >8)a

Best wishes for the competition, everyone! \o/

Here's my own entry

I'm fighting against the crush of workload in real life also. I admire you authors who put out new content on a scheduled basis. Mine will come in spurts as I make time for writing and editing.

When it comes out are you planning to link it here? I admire the guys that have episodes scheduled ahead of time too, i'm trying to do that and it's hard XD.

Yeah, I'll post a link here when the time is right.

I finished chapter one.

I'm procrastinating too much. :3

I think it is worth giving it a go. This is a great opportunity to get selected publicity for your story. Already the staff picks are highlighting stories by writers with few subscribers. Even if you don't win, you've taken an opportunity in a small window to get maximum exposure. If this is the first writers camp, any more coming after this are only going to bigger and harder to get noticed. Now is the time to get your stories read.

@arushiangelica Thank you for starting this thread and sorry it took me so long to find it. Work, life and family keep me away a lot of the time.

Can I say - I've been tracking the firstwriterscamp tag since it went up and there are so many great stories being published.

Good luck to every writer participating.

Be it writers block, procrastinating, studying, working - don't give up. Get your 10 chapters written, 500 words per chapter. YOU CAN DO IT.

Arriving a bit late to the party with our alternate entry into Tapas' "FirstWritersCamp". Definitely writing this one by the seat of the pants. No idea how it's going to end.

Here's my entry:

I have a couple chapters scheduled, but I haven't finished writing all 10. I'm sitting at about 8 and a half, but I want to write as much as I can in case I hit a major block.

There are so many replies on here! But I'm too tired. I'll read them tomorrow...

Anyways! I just had to share my entry. I came up with the idea a few days ago and just drew the thumbnail :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I've only posted one chapter so far. Inspiration hit a few hours ago, and I just had to write it. The blurb is a work in progress, just don't know all the details of the story yet.

Yours is about six college students stumbling through love. To name a few of them, one is in love with her childhood friend, another has never fallen before, and a third has never tried so hard. I've included every type of relationship out there (well, a hetero, BL, and GL anyway), and personalities differ from character to character. Should be fun! Thanks if you give it a try!

For myself, I don't want a contract with Tapas, but I wish everyone entering the best. It's always good when writers can get more exposure for their work and get recognized for their stories =)

I'm surprisingly scaring myself... I'm already basically a third finished with my novel... Only other time I wrote this fast was with the first book of my "Of the Sea" series that's on hold for re-writing to fit in with the second book where I changed up some concepts and ideas...

So here it is again, "The Lies She Told" At Chapter 8 with another 8 chapters to go but knowing me it's always more! (Why I don't know... Inspiration flows as I get to new chapters!)
