Hey I'm sorry if there has already been a solution to this issue but I have a problem.

I disabled my ad blocker on Tapastic because I find that the ad revenue goes to something awesome here - and I firmly stand by that. But For SOME reason it still showed at least 2 of the ads as "blocked"...
I now even deactivated my adblocker altogether on chrome, and i STILL have this happening:

:C tapastic pls i KNOW ad revenue helps creators - that's why those two ads on the left and right are not blocked! I turned off the adblocker!

Any idea what I can do to fix this while still being able to run adblocker on other sites?

The ad on the left is always a Tapastic ad. It's not any indication that it's being "blocked", it's legitimately just how they set up the ad pages. So that's one problem out of the way lol (and yes, it is a legit ad).

I know a few people have had problems with the ad-blocker message still popping up for them even after turning ad-block off, although that was a bit of a different message, and I feel like maybe the middle pic is just another Tapastic ad? (as sometimes there are Tapastic ads in the center column as well). It's a (kinda far-fetch'd) possibility, but know that if it is breaking on you and trying to tell you to turn off your ad-blocker despite already turning it off, you're not the first person to have this problem.

We'll see if @michaelson can tell us the verdict here > <

@UzukiCheverie

Underneath every ad unit is an ad blocker message like the one you see above. By default it will show up and if an ad loads, then the ad will take priority over the ad blocker message. So sometimes the ad unit itself is transparent in parts and you'll be able to see snippets of the ad blocker message peaking through.

Sometimes the ad unit itself doesn't load - this can be caused by slow internet connections or by a server side error on the ad provider's side. If you see this routinely it may mean that the ad just hasn't had time to load smile

Hope that helps!

Something I wanted to tell you about your ads and why I turn on adblock: For the last week, Flash has taken up so much CPU to run the ads that it was ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO SCROLL DOWN. In case you didn't get that, IT TOOK ONE MINUTE TO SCROLL DOWN ONE PAGE. ON AN AT LEAST MEDIUM-END PC. I can't support creators via the support program, so I'd like to support people at least that way, but this is ridiculous.

Hi there,

I don't think our ads are supposed to take up that much CPU. Could you possibly send us a screen cap of what the ads are looking like on your end?

I'll try to look into what's happening on our end.

We are looking into ways to disable ad units for "fan based comics." We just can't risk paying creators for copyrighted content :/

So would this mean I could get ad revenue for my original comic and not for my fan comic though they're on the same account?

Yeah, I think that how it would work. If you were to have 2 original series each series will generate each own ad revenue and just drop the daily earning all together at the end of the day in the same account.

It's like if you were using Google Adsense, you will just make one account, but you're running ads on two or more websites. All the earning from each sites will just come to that one account.

In your case, you might stop receiving ad revenue for your "fan comic," but you will still earn revenue from your "original comic."

Really happy for you!

Something like this  Thanks Hurstah!

It accumulates and adds up with each month. You don't have to make 25$ in the same month. The same as it would the supporter program.

I am assume so anyway, I'm only 99% certain on this, I have not made under 25$ in ad revenue a month yet so I couldn't double check myself to make sure.

This is correct

Unlike Patreon, which you need to make payments in full on to receive any of the tier rewards, Tapastic keeps track of your monthly payments and adds it up to go towards the next milestone.

So on Patreon, wanna get a wallpaper? Better change your monthly fee to $5.

Wanna get a wallpaper on Tapastic but can only do $1/month? You'll get them after 5 months of supporting $1.

Well, first you need to be registered with the Ad Revebue program lol Which I'm gonna assume you are stuck_out_tongue
I find I make a dollar for every 1.2k - 1.6k ad views.
Disclaimer: You will not be raking in the dough with Ad Revenue, at least not right away. Build your readership, make them aware that you're a part of the Ad Revenue program (so they know to scroll and will consider turning off their AdBlocker), and you'll start making a couple bucks each day.

Thanks!

I'm mainly interested because I am working with artists and want them to be compensated.

Wow! I didn't realise the payout was so low. Thanks for the answer.
