@Xiostar Oh gods no, I am most definitely not xD
Of course, "sketch" is different for everyone, even for one artist it would vary depending on the day, and you can call literally every step before you consider the art finished "a sketch"? But I sure understand the sentiment, that's why going in Twitter is so hard, every Mona Lisa there is someone's daily sketch hahaha

@Lensing thank you :relieved: :heart:

@Lensing Congrats on your EP! Can we listen online anywhere? Only if you're happy to share ofc.

@Kelheor Drawing family is always risky business but this is so nice! She's v pretty

More Eliaz and Candor

Wheee! More attempting to make my own font.

Obviously the free version has limits. No hyphen for example, which is why the one in the image doesn't fit with the rest of it. I can work around it but I might bite the bullet and pay for something.

Thank you and thanks for the interest. The songs from the single will not be uploaded anywhere, it´s just that
one single which goes into the distribution

But I´ll let all of you know when the Rhythm´n´blues band release is, there will be a youtube video for it
and everything

@Lensing Aww, well I hope it all goes well for you on that side of things. A video sounds great! I was with a musician for a long time and on the scene for ages so I understand the effort. And the expense. Making music ain't cheap! And that was like ten years ago.

How it started

How it turned out.

I’m so tired :weary:

The ugly and unsympathetic characters are just as much fun to sketch as the beautiful ones

Second digital doodle ever! I absolutely cannot believe it is almost October, but it’s almost spooky season! I still haven’t planned out my Halloween costume yet, but hopefully I can get it together before it’s too late and I’m rushing at the last minute. Are you guys hyped for spooky season??

I realized that I've been drawing in such a way to need either add screens or jump all the way into colour. So I did a wee test tonight coloring the original and seeing how it all looked.

So far my thinking is that both the balloons and font look too reedy when in context.

The colours do make everyone stand out much better and they're in the right neighbourhoods for the characters but they need a bit of desaturation. Or maybe they just seem too intense next to the black and white. Dunno.

Gonna sleep on it.

I've hit my peak minimalism period it seems. I just keep trying to draw characters with fewest details. I drew some silly fan comics last year for my football team that were pretty popular with the other fans, so I tried applying it to my characters.

I dunno how I feel about the results. It doesn't quite feel like me. I think at some point in time you hit diminishing returns on low detail, because you may have fewer lines, but then each line becomes more important...

I also randomly got an e-mail asking for more material for a pitch I sent out at the beginning of the year and kind of assumed was a rejection. So, uh...

I think it´s one of the greatest excercises you can do but like you said, the pressure is high,
because every line gets important. This reminds me that I should practice that more

I will not use the sketch I uploaded yesterday. I dislike everything about it except the text for
the panel
I need a simple hair cut because I will draw her again and again in the comic.

And the daily Loomis practice, friday is side view to the left, I´m doing
this since 10 days

Still working on my mc. Almost done with the character design

I don't share 'after' versions of my sketches very often so here are two of the latest ones. I have an 'extras' series for West so I'll sling these in there with other sketches I can scare up.

Damn flu, why did it made me so tired.

I guess I will make a rule for sketches. Putting a timer on. If in like 10 minutes I figure out nothing is coming out of it, leave it for later :sleepy:

@Kelheor oh no damn flu indeed, wishing you a speedy recovery :muscle:
Having the flu inspired the comic, was like what if you get powers instead of headache and fever symptoms lol
That 10 mins drawing still looks epic, love the fierce eye and grin!

(response to the previous message)
Likewise have always admired your sketches so that's an honor to hear you say   Been leaning into the 3d lately, but always feels refreshing jumping back into 2d, in this case the Tapas Magma event.

@Lensing that lady look scary, an interviewee's worst nightmare XD Julia is one of the brave ones lol And the figure study of the sides looking awesome too. Also congrats and wishing you success with the single! :guitar: :musical_note:

@l_vi
The sketch looks lively, the pressured expression of the character and the Honk going through the head. Keep it up  hope you get all the needed rest time and look forward to seeing more when you decide to post. Kinda same with me, been dabbling on the 3d side lately hardly been sketching as often. :art:

So, a question, is anyone doing something in october?
Because I found this.

I am very sure that if I try, I will do, like, one or two days before fall in the floor in distress, but I want to try.
Don't let me fail alone!
