Unwanted notifications Petition

I am getting really more and more pissed off by the ads notifications, it just makes me angry and I cant be happy about any notifications anymore casue 90% its just stupid ads. So, I made a petition in google docs I wanna get to Tapas if we get enough people to sign. I already got some to sign it but I believe not nearly enough yet to get Tapas attention >< So, if you as fed up with the notifications, please sign the Petition =3

Same here. It's always a gamble. So I really hope they will listen to us >< Everyone hates getting things forced on them and if anythign, it only makes me never wanna read anything they throw in my face.

I never read what they advertise xD I usually search untill I find something that peaks my interest or something I happen to find arount the forum, but you're right, I think part of it is because they keep pushing it without me wanting it. Most of them arent even in the genre I like to read xD

I have tried to remove the notifications which involves clicking on the ad. I had 80, so I had to do it 80 times but it only works on mobile, not desktop. The next day 10 new ones popped up. I don't even understand why the limited time offers don't self-delete. Why do I have to manually remove a message for something that expired 2 months ago?

They should at least give an option to toggle it off instead of annoying everyone just becasue of money. They dont even do themselves a favor. Like one of you said, most are not even in my genre and even if they are, out of spite I wouldnt read it XD

Even worse than being force-fed spam disguised as notifications is the quality of the spam. It's outright offensive.

Who the hell thinks of this dreck? These are all real names of novels/comics from the spam "messages". The titles look like something AI would come up with. And who would ever see a title like that and think "That one's worth reading", much less "That one's worth paying for"???

To think that Tapas is promoting absolute garbage like that while many, many authors/artists struggle to even be seen on this site is, as I said before, insulting. I'd rather eat dirt than click on any of that crap.

Sadly, I don't think any petition is going to change their minds. Maybe we could pressure them to at least feed us quality spam, but they'll never stop the spam.

I extremely doubt they will get rid of the spam at this point, but I wish they would at least move it to a separate section so we don't have to be constantly disappointed by notifications that aren't interaction with our own comics/novels.

The sub to like ratio seems off on that first one. Usually the likes are much higher than the subs.

Feel free to add my name to the list of people annoyed! They really should just have a separate tab for notifications that Tapas sends you, and notifications you get for interactions with people.

thanks for all your participation and input guys. And yeah I agree with that Tapas only promotes such weird shit and its ofc mainly romance stuff, which is absolutely not my genre at all XD Weird titles exists, I have seen them in other works, buit always found these titles so weird XD

I dunno if it will work, but well then we at least tried I even tried blocking all of the creators of the ads, but that doesnt stop getting spam from the novels/comics itself. wish I could just block these itself, but sadly no option for that either

Feel free to add me to the petition even though I only use the app to grind for free ink on ads and use my favourites bar on my Laptop to avoid all the promotions lol xD

It does seem to be newer than the other ones, so maybe it hasn't had time to catch up yet, lol. Or maybe it's trash, idk I didn't read it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
