Hi, I have been told some people experience issues with tipping on the web!
The issue works as follows: They click the tip button and nothing happens.

Hey there! I'm far from tech support but I think what might be happening is they're clicking the "Tip" button before inputting an amount. What they'll want to do is click the arrow next to it first, choose an amount, then click the big yellow button.

Thank you, I'll tell them and check back with you if the problem persists.

However me and other users have run into a different problem since updating the app; whenever "free coins" is opened, the app crashes. This is regardless of whether it is accessed directly through the menu or by swiping to the side in the coin shop!

Hmm, I'm not sure about that one. It's best to contact support at feedback@tapas.io to explain the issue, providing your username and phone model. Though also keep in mind that with the Thanksgiving holiday, we'll be a little slower than usual to respond.

you can email michaelson@tapasmedia.co and let them know you'd like to be able to tip & receive tipping

when I emailed Michaelson a few weeks ago they said we had to wait for the next event or get 250 subscribers. They dont activate it if you email them anymore

Hi, I'm trying to purchase the free coins on web but I can't access them. Does anyone know how to access them online?

Thanks for letting me know. So the only chance for "under 250 subs" is to wait for an event and then ask for activation because of it. Cera, you're fantastic for letting me know this! Happy belated Thanksgiving!

I used the service today. I tipped through the website. It seemed to work from my point of view. I appreciate having the option because sometimes I use my phone and sometimes a laptop depending on which device has a usable battery charge at the time.

I don't see that this is possible yet. You might need to go use the mobile app in order to access the free coins.

"And here we see the yearly migration of the coins out from the fans' appreciative palms and safely into the homes of artists who will use them to store up food for the winter. Thus completes one of nature's most fascinating cycles.

There is more meaning and mutual understanding in sharing just a glance with tips than any other monetary exchange I know."

~ Sir David Attenborough, The Life of Comics (2017)

Hello, does that mean the tipping feature will be automatically activated once you reach 25 subs? will it be permanent or temporary? I'm sorry, 'm fairly new here therefore with not so many subs, I hope you can answer my queries, Much thanks and Good day/ evening

wow! that was a totally fast reply! you are wonderful! and Oh I really love the fact that they made it that way, one reason could be because poor Michael getting bombarded with lots of email!

one more question I have in mind tho, since there is an ongoing event and sending an email request might activate the tipping feature, will it be permanent or it will disappear once the event is over? and umm, I checked the link? it directed me to a forum with people celebrating that they already have tipping? :hushed: Thank you again! you are so helpful!

i hope its permanent. after all that .. it's a bit of a hassle and then find out it takes 12 coins to pay out .01 :stuck_out_tongue:

oh well haha shrugs

You're welcome. I can definitely relate with being a newcomer and stuff. The community here is really kind and helpful. Often times they're just too busy dealing with personal issues, struggles, and etc.

But sometimes you get lucky and find that someone might help with your concerns. I'd like to leave an example so that others may follow. If we want others to help us with stuff that's important to us, then we ought to, at the very least, do the same to them from time to time. :innocent:

Yes, it's true. Mr. Michael Son got lots of emails in the past. Probably too many to handle at a short time's notice. That's why it was changed to manual activation with 250 minimum subscribers.

It's actually permanent. Once tipping is activated, it'll stay that way.

The link is for you learn more about the latest tipping event. The email request usually only occurs during special events like this one. So if you want tipping activated ASAP, kindly send an email request. It takes months before another event like this happens. :grinning:

Thank you so much for your reply! and I'm really sorry I couldn't reply sooner to thank you properly, there has been an issue with my account and I don't why, I couldn't log back in all of a sudden, so I figured that maybe I forgot my password, so I reset it, and still I couldn't log in, I reset it quite a few time already and still I couldn't :(, then when I tried again, the site gave a prompt that says "Sorry its totally our fault...blah blah" so there must have been a problem with the website... anyway I really appreciate your reply, thanks so much!!

I can't find out how to send a private message to you, previous posts say to click on your user and there would be a blue button but I can't find it

on tapas or in the forums?

if it's the main site you would go through as if you were doing a regular wall post but check the small box where it says private
