Filling out the feedback form now, but all I gotta say is

TAPAS LOST ITS SOUL

It's a kid trying to be like its cool brother Webtoons but lost a lot of what made it special in the first place.
:sob: :sob: :sob: :sob: :sob:

Aside from a lot of clicking to reach to the next page it bugs me (a right-handed person) that the Prev/Next buttons are on the left, so I have to reach for them

I believe you can use your arrows keyboard keys too, instead of clicking. They're on the right side of the keyboard too cuz keyboard-makers simply want left-handed people to suffer I guess but... Would that help?

I just... never use a keyboard for that, haha =) But maybe I just won't be reading comics on website at all now, we'll see ^^

f/ it, i'll say it: they pulled a Smackjeeves and lost what made their brand special : (
the only feature that made them standout is hosting novels, and even that is broken now :disappointed:

That's fair. I don't use the keyboard for that either, or haven't until now at least.

I guess all we can do now is fill the form and wait for (hopefully) changes.

Hey, now they haven't gone complete smack Jeeves and got rid of their forums. The're is always a Bright side.

Tapas was good about taking user feedback the last time they made a desktop update so it's way too soon to get up in arms.
I'm looking forward to them polishing this into something, you know, more functional. :sweat_02:

I’m collecting feedback from readers first before I give them my essay x’D but so far, above all, everyone agrees that it’s just not the same trying to look like webtoons.

I love you all hahaha.. I'm still eating replies since there are over 240 post here..
Thank you for your time. I wish I could leave a reply on each post but for now we're focusing on killing bugs.
When all bugs are fixed, then we will tweak UIs as needed.
Also it's better to leave feedback on our survey14 and you can find the link on this post as well. https://forums.tapas.io/t/website-updates-and-collecting-feedback/4163212

Anyway .. I'll be back again to give you an update.

Thank you.

It looks like it's no longer possible to hover over comments' likes and see who liked them. I especially liked being able to see if the author liked a comment. I haven't seen anyone mention this, so that's something else to check on. I'm not sure if this was just a bug, but it's best not to lose features that were previously available

Aww man, I just sat down and decided to scroll all the way down the scifi comics until I find mine. The site says there are 3,356 results under Science fiction > All, but I couldn't scroll past a couple hundreds, and mine (and some of my faves) wasn't among them. GG my comic xD

By the way, does anyone know what the category "Binge" is for? I thought it could be the comics marked as "finished" by the author, but I don't think it's the case.

Site looks absolutely dreadful! Dreadful dreadful. It's like a vacant waste, and the overlay that pops in starts way too early, blocks like 40% of the comic. I know it's supposed to come in after you're at the bottom, but it's really jarring and disrupts your whole picture of the dang page. Completely unnecessary.

I don't know...maybe I'm missing something, but it doesn't seem that bad to me. I think the only thing that would make me actually mad is if I had to pay to post my comic here on Tapas.
Then again... this kind of thing doesn't bother me, never has. Just happy to have a place to host my comic.

I don't want to say everyone's emotions aren't valid regarding this whole debacle though. I just am kind of surprised at what a dumpster fire it turned out to be.
