My old boss used to constantly ask me to buy beer for the restaurant, but he'd ask "Can you legally buy beer?" Yes, I'm 23 and I can buy beer.
Then he'd ask me the same question a few weeks later. I'm getting older, not younger!

nope writing isn't easy !! "extra regular" people don't understand the struggle. like people who've never worked at restaurant or shopping store. they just don't get it.

I don't get a lot of questions on my art but I don't like when people make weird comparisons.

Like someone who thought my character looked too much like a character from Homestuck.

Or someone who thought a character of mine named Edward was a reference to Edward Cullen.

Agreed. Other side-characters also have weird colored hair, which we will be editing on the printed version of the comic. While I want my book to have some silliness to it, I don't want to have my characters have odd features unless it's explained, same goes for overtly-sexualized characters. That's another thing I'll never do. I find it very uncomfortable.

I have an extension to my list, not related to art.

See, I am a mathematics major and I have heard people say:

"What good is math for anyway?"
"You never use math in real life. What's the point"
"Oh hah find the x for the formula, like I'll ever need that!"
Le sigh...

a lot. I didn't mind at first but it's getting really irritating. Ignorant statements are one of the few things that "trigger" me.

Well it;s all about who you hang out with. Majority of people joke about how useless calculus and above is. I've had a mix of being with academic peoples and your average joe dropping by the bar to wash away his worries. The latter is the one that often comments that math is either "something [he] could never do" or "Has no use in the real world."

The more advanced math aside from basic algebra, I mean. calculus and above (above being group theory, proofs, linear algebra, and other FDEs)

I didn't start to get into math until I began approaching it from the practical side. I had to figure out what a given bit of math was for, and only then could I take it seriously. I discovered, too late, that I wasn't actually bad at the subject, just unpracticed.

Dude I use math in every game I play to figure out the most effective use of my time getting ahead in certain things. It actually allowed me to become a very competitive build in an MMO that some classes couldn't beat, it was practically broken. This is coming from someone who hated math class. :T

Ahahah, yush games use maths too. Just think of Hearthstone, Gwent and Yugioh. But you'd be surprised how many people really say that to me. It does depend on who you are around. Academic people will say "Oh wow, I could never do that" or "Cool, so do you want to be a math teacher?"

Oh actually that one is kinda annoying to. If I wanted to be a bloody teacher, I would be majoring in math education.

Anyway, the average person you come across is impressed often and comments about how they don't need maths.

Funny thing is my comic is called Beautiful Lies. For a short period of time I was referring to it by its initials and my icon used the initials. But ehm, it was misleading because it would just say B.L.

"How many chapters are there going to be?"

Look I know how my manga and how my novel will end, and the big important points throughout these, but sometimes inspiration hits me and I add some stuff, or take out some stuff that I thought wasn't useful to the plot anymore.

I usually answer with "As many as its going to take."

I also often get the "Can you draw/paint (blank) for me?" Most recent one was the (insert chosen blasphemy here) former manager "Can you paint this statue of a cat to look like my dead cat?". I could, but do I really want to?

currently working on several active comic/game/work projects with very little free time even though I shouldn't be pushing myself like that because of my health problems

"K. But when are you going to update 'title of comic on hold'??? I don't like this other stuff it's trash compared."

Makes me want to never work on that comic ever again when I get harassed like that about it, no joke, when I get a "Update now." or "Update now or else" or "Stop being lazy and update" I schedule the next page for that project back another month.
