I've been trying to find a lot of the computer games from my youth and it's weird that most people probably never seen them or heard of them. And the weird thing is, old software CDs are seen as junk to some people due to them being too outdated to run on modern computers. I am really grateful for internet archives and similar sites for preserving these software.

Does anyone remember all the cool CD Rom games you used to get in cereal boxes!

I was never a big fan of Chex, so admittedly I never played that one. I remember I used to play a ton of the computer version of Life ( since no one would pay the actual board game version with me ).

Childhood memories?..., that is all black and white to me.

I was the other day eating out with the family and a song by Guns n' Roses played, after the song ended the DJ said that he'll be back with more classic songs after a break, and I was like, that's not classic music thats from... ohhhh right.

so yeah, I guess I'm a classic

This show used to by the shit

Also...The realization that most people's intro anime these days is probably Sword Art Online, My Hero Academia...etc as opposed to Sailor Moon and Dragonball. Oof.

A childhood thing... I remember constantly rewinding old VHS tapes of Dragonball, Sailor Moon, Power Rangers, and more just to watch them on repeat over and over on a tiny T.V.

Kids today won’t know the struggle of a VHS tape getting all tangled up. :sob:

TMNT 2003. I watched it all the time when I was a kid & I started thinking about it the other day & realized it'll be 20 in 2023. This makes me feel so old. :astonished:

The fact that some people have any idea that IM used to be a legit thing. Seriously they didn't know people just sat at their computer and messaged people. They were like "Why didn't you just text?"

Cause 1) it wasn't a thing at one point 2) it was expensive 3) it took forever unless you mastered pressing that button four times to get that letter

And that at one point you couldn't be online and one the phone at the same time. There are people who don't know the struggle of getting yelled at cause your mom wants to use the phone

Tapes. The one you need to paired up with pencil.

West life.

And Pokemon...

Home alone.

Playing outside with friends (woah, I actually have playmates...)

(note that I was born in mid 90's and they're mostly my family's belongings. -w- )

Now that I think about it, I don't remember much about my own childhood, thought not tReally needed anyway.

oddly the song "House on Pooh Corner" by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band even tho i was born WAY after this song came out
