I like drawing backgrounds actually. I hate drawing mecha. And for traditional work, i hate painting/drawing fabrics with intricate patterns

I haven't gotten to you into the critique thread yet but

Except you are technically correct. Backgrounds are bad. Avoid background. Only suckers draw backgrounds. Good comic artists draw environments.
but you shouldn't avoid them. They're good for you. Like eating your veggies.

how have we gone through this entire thread with nobody mentioning the existential nightmare that is drawing staircases in perspective?

gotta get some brushes for that one, fam. Doing all that by hand? absolute drudgery.
but even then... if you wanna do them nice and pretty in perspective, no custom brush is gonna be able to handle it for you perfectly.

Ears :cry_01:
I've never really understood the shape, no matter how many times I've drawn them. I'd rather hide them under hair if I can.

I second this. if you don't find a brush you like, you can easily make your own in csp

I once knew an artist who worked on Thomas the Tank Engine comics. We'd sit down for a coffee and he'd just look at me with hollow eyes and mouth the word 'wheels....'.

My problem with noses
they look like pig nose

and ears
just ugly looking

and will check out your book

Me not knowing anatomy but draws anyways :🤡
Although I always serach for pictures on google for references

WOW
Those look really good omg plus the art o-o
Damn..

Bet it took a lot of time and you now have a hatred towards chains

tech, buildings, vehicles, the less organic (or organically-shaped) something is, the worse :eye::lips::eye:

Out of topic but...are there exist brushes for entire buildings? 🤡

SHIT I just realised I´ll have to draw chains too-

Drawing software recommendations pls?
