Tengu is a spirit representing my sona character and Harley is actually a name I stuck with given by a close friend of mine, he has a character in his series with a half-brother named Haruo but his alias is Harley. Given that I've wanted to change my birth name for personal reasons, Harley really stuck to me. and there be my username together :> TenguHarley
It's my initials, since my IRL name is so freakin boring that there's usually several other people with my same exact name in the same place as me (fun fact, in college, I was confused with another person with my name, so I had to go to the records office to get a new ID and there were 7 other people in my school with the same first, middle, and last name as I). So using my initials was basically how I nabbed a website out of school, haha. But, almost everyone who first sees it, thinks I'm a boy because Raj is a popular boys name in India, so no matter what I do my name is normie as hell.
For a little while I really wanted to be unique and cool so my username and my shop name was PhtaloAzul, Pthalo for Pthalocyanine, which is my favorite paint to use and also my favorite color, Azul for blue in Spanish. But, no one could pronounce it so I had to change it because uh, marketing tip--don't ever use a longass name no one can spell. People kept asking me where I was from because they assumed it was a Eastern European word or something when it's like...no, it's just paint.
I'm nostalgic and like Roxas (kingdom hearts 2) It's my other online names that are a bit more fun to explain.
"Veraca" (the one I use on tapas) is actually shortened from "Yugi Yukai Veraca" which was something like friend and heart from Japanese and "veraca" is the sound a ghoul makes? or something... I forget. It's been forever since I've had to think of how to explain it lol And the writing name "elle doki" comes from a cute manga I read with a character named Elle and I thought it sounded cute (not ellie, elle like the el in spanish or the letter L) and "doki" from Japanese sound for a heartbeat. Sounds way cooler than ba-dump
I really like the artist/singer Dorian Electra to the point I've come to appreciate the name they have chosen for themselves (I really don't know the backstory of why they chose that name, if it is a stage name or their real name, tbh since I don't really look into an artist's background when I come to like their songs) and Torres was the last name I have chosen out of the suggestions from a name generator.
It's just my name (technically my nick name since I was a kid, turned name because people can't fuking pronounce my old name which is annoying but worse when I absolutely HATE every single name they pronounce it as like... fuk me. A lot of people can't figure out how to pronounce Kura either but at least it's not that fuking awful names they thought my old name was pronounced as)
I use Kurapika for some places cause it's... my name hidden in an anime character's name. I am so sneaky hahahaha ok not really
But yeah, Kura is just my name.
I don't remember why I came up with the name. I originally thought it was a play on words from Rick Roller, but after some digging, it predates the meme.
It was first used in a fanfic but later became an OC who wrote a book about killing immortals but used the name "Nick B Rowler" instead of his own. I have old comics where characters will say "I'm Nick B Rowler" as a joke and for a time I had the phrase "I'm not Nick B Rowler" on my DeviantArt. I then started to use it as a username when I discovered that it was not a name people usually took. I also dropped the B so that people don't call me Browler.
I guess I liked being called Nick online, so now I am having people IRL call me it.
Rowler doesn't mean anything.
It means I had two problematic OC's back in 2009 named Akemi and Kaemon, and I used AkemiKae on a whim for my username on DeviantArt. I once again used it on a whim for my comic username (because it's never taken anywhere!), and I actually really like the way it sounds (Ah-kay-mee-kai), plus I love it when people call me Akemi or just Ake.
Honestly, those original OC's were a problem though... ^^;;
If you see an AkemiKae, or Akemi_Kae floating around on the internet...it's me. lol
Mine is rather literal and pretty simple on the whole. XD
Syn- is actually just short for: Synesthete; I chose that since I am one and Cypher means code (and the number Zero). I spelt it with a "y" so it would match Syn. So my name works out two ways: Synesthete Code or Synesthete Zero! (Because one way of saying it may be the cypher, and the other way of interpreting it may be the answer to said code. I figured if it was a cypher I may as well get creative with it hahah)
