As far as cartoony things go, the only series I keep up with is Bob's Burgers.
Aside from the webcomics I read here on Tap, I'm not reading anything at the moment. I don't have the time to really.
And gee, the last anime I watched was the Adult Swim airing of Dimension W. That was pretty good I thought.
I haven't gotten into any new anime because lately I've been sick of the dialogue in them. It's very … Japanese. Just the syntax and semantics of it all, I can't relate to it and I roll my eyes very often. Sorry, not sorry, to say, I prefer dubs to subs, because then at least the tonality and inflections are more adapted to western audiences.
I'm only going to put current stuff...
Shows:
-Boruto: The Next Generation
-Steven Universe (because Stockholm syndrome)
-Bob's Burgers
Comics:
-The Peanuts (like all of it, starting from the beginning, in the 50s)
I also have this Corto Maltese comic just sitting on my shelf and I should really get around to reading it.
Ooooooh, this is a fun topic .3. I'm always watching and reading all kinds of things
Anime:
My Hero Academia Season 2
Boruto: Next Generations
Eromanga-Sensei
Re:Creators

Tamen De Gushi
He is a Highschool Girl
As well as a butt-ton of webcomics here on Tapastic
Eh getting into it all will take time but I curently binged watched some steven universe and adventure time I just caught up with adventure time lately and it's still pretty fucking good. No real consistent plot but still a lot of fun. I think the fans jumping over to steven universe while killing some of the hype, made the community a little more tolerable.
and while taking a jab at steven universe I should mention having caught up on that I'm really enjoying that as well.
I'm currently reading:
- One-Punch Man
- Happiness
- The Promised Neverland
- Boruto
- Platinum End
- Gantz G

And Anime I'm Watching:
- Boruto
- Berserk
- Attack on Titan
- Dragon Ball Super
Cartoons:
- Samurai Jack
- Rick and Morty
Steven Universe. Multiple times. Like, four times within this year...
Other than that I have recently watched Rick and Morty, Jessica Jones, a ton of the Marvel movies, Gravity Falls, Over the Garden Wall, Legend of Korra, the odd episode of QI and Top Gear, and a lot of others I have probably forgotten to mention.
I haven't watched much anime or read manga in a while now... It's just gotten to a point I don't get surpriced by the stories anymore, they are too predictable... But the last ones I saw was One Punch Man, Boku no Hero Academia and Kuro mo Kuro (Which I have personally renamed Neon Genesis Inuyasha).
These are the ones I'm currently reading/watching, not gonna list the things I've finished.

I'm so happy to find alot of Boku no Hero Academia and One Punch Man here!!
Not surprising I guess, considering it is one of the best ones currently out there
@Kimoisempai
HOLY Crap! LOL I thought I read/watch alot but you put me to shame!!! LOL
Kenka Banchou Otome is on my watch list but I have not started because I tend to binge watch instead of waiting each episode, is it good? That's a reverse harem isnt it? I'm a sucker for reverse harem although I realized most of them are so cliche lol
@UzukiCheverie I love Death Note!!! I binge the entire series in 2 days when I saw them on netflix like a year ago? I pretty much will read or watch anything by Ohba/Obata duo
@csufranco I'm a big fan of haikyuu! the third season imo is the best sport anime out there
I saw 1st episode of mob psycho and its currently on my watch list, does it get better?
@joannekwan I saw few episodes of Bob's burgers but it was taken down off netflix before I finished it!
I love Dimension W!!
I watch both sub and dub and I don't mind either one,
the one that really japanese doesnt translate well in english, usually I prefer those in sub,
but for the battle or scifi anime usually I don't mind english
the huge benefit of dub is I can play it on the background when I'm working on my computer, like an audiobook, and there's plenty of time I really got into the show that way
@NickRowler and @yondoloki @Vikiro_Hop
I heard about this Steven Universe alot, what other show is similar to this? I feel like I should check it out
@yondoloki I saw a few episode of Kuro mo Kuro and it did have a bit of inu yasha feel to me, I never saw evangelion but yeah Kuro mo Kuro seems just alright so far, I think I might gave up on it instead of revisiting it again, does it get better?
@xeithe I'm still halfway on the original Gantz, it started out strong and I thought it was just okay after a while, does it get better toward the end?
I read some berserk a while back, is the anime live up to the manga?
@CatharsisGaze who's your favorite character on Shokugeki no Soma?
mine is Akira Hayama, he is so handsome!!!
thanks everyone, this is fun!! I have been wanting to nerd out on these kind of things but doesnt know where to do it on the internet!!
@Menbung I heard about Eromanga, but I haven't looked into it, it does sound pervy isnt it?
I love how you spell onepanman LOL a true fan indeed!!
the stuff you are reading I never heard of, I probably will look it up!!
@TheKawaiiGarden I'm waiting for the entire season of Shingeki No Kyojin to be aired so I can binge the entire series at once! is it better than season 1?
Gravity Falls have been mentioned few times here, I might look it up!
Dont read any manga anymore. When I was younger, I used to read:
Dark Angel & Silent Mobius by Kia Asimiya
Youre Under Arrest & Ah My Goddess by Fujishima
Battle Angel Alita by Kishiro
Gunsmith Cats by Kenichi Sonada
As far as anime goes, I've currently been watching stuff on Crunchyroll. My cable provider decided to be greedy AF and moved Cartoon Network to their next up premium tier, so I dont get to watch Adult Swim/Toonami like I had been watching for years anymore(mainly/only on Sat nights). I watched the Kyoto Arc of Blue Exorcist, but wasnt too impressed with it. So far the only show I've watched and liked on Crunchyroll was Twin Star Exorcists- it was more enjoyable than the offshoot story of Blue Exorcist. As for U.S. cartoons, I really dont watch too much of those anymore. I binge watched all the Justice League/Young Justice stuff last year on Netflix over the summer, but not much since then. Right now I havent really been watching much Crunchyroll either coz the majority of their selection is "high school type academy shows" that dont really hold my interest.
I know exactly what you mean,
alot of the newer lesser known anime looks prettier than the older anime but it felt like it was missing substance
I liked the beginning of the first Blue Exorcist, but then I kinda lost interest toward the end, but have not watched the Kyoto Arc yet, it was on my watch list if I got nothing better to watch
I'm usually waiting for once in a blue moon seinen anime to shows up, it's more grown up,
Acca 13 was the latest one in that genre and its on crunchyroll, it was mellow but pretty decent, the artwork was nice
So far I'd say its much better. I've heard some peeps say that they thought that the first season was really slow and tedious so they couldn't get into it for those reasons (I personally couldn't disagree more) so I'm glad to tell those people that season 2 doesn't fuck around, there is constantly something going on to keep your interest and I'm always extremely hyped for the next episode.
Cartoons:
...not really anything, if this is meant to only mean American TV animation. I watch South Park when new seasons are on their website, and that's basically it.
Comics:
Been a bit too busy to keep up with webcomics lately, and US comics are hard to get where I live. Want to read more Walking Dead graphic novels and more webcomics, though.
Anime:
I am very slowly trying to get through Little Witch Academy. I was watching it each week since I was super looking forward to it, but it ended up bring kind of terrible. Hopefully I'm almost done with it, ugh. What a disappointment. I watch some anime from time to time but nothing consistently. Not really that much of a fan of current stuff.
Manga:
Here we go! I read manga, that's about it.
- Magi (suddenly got really good after a bit of a lull)
- Sinbad (a spin-off of Magi and really fun)
- Shokugeki No Soma (has gotten BAD since vol. 16, I bet it gets cut from Jump pretty soon)
- Platinum End (I actually hate this manga, but I love the artist... but the author, ugh. This manga is his worst to date)
- One Punch Man (not a good binge comic, so just every so often I pick up a new volume)
- My Hero Academia (the anime is better, imho, but I haven't seen the new season yet)
- Yotsuba &! (excellent, but new volumes have slow release)
- Card Captor Sakura clear card version (the new series is actually pretty bland, but a quick read and I like the new art style)
- Sakura Taisen (another manga with a sloooow release)
... I have a big pile of manga I've bought but haven't read yet, but these are the manga I'd say I'm reading on a semi regular basis, or as new volumes are released.
@silencelibrarian I watch less than back in high school/first year university. I just don't have as much time now that I started enjoying more hobbies like drawing webcomics and creating content in general. Otome Banchou is surprisingly a fast anime because each episode is only 5 minutes long. I'm happy that the title is not a lie, and the girl really does go around punching dudes at school to become their boss.
