since i've got a relatively toony style faces aren't too hard but i tend to hate ears of all the parts of a face. Knowing how to draw their different shapes, which ones you draw based on the angle and then size...it's utterly painful
Don’t get me wrong, i find that stylized and anime/looser style superior than realism because you need to be able to convey with simple strokes! Which i can’t apparently But i can see why looking up and down may be difficult. I also need to study more atleast with face down you don’t need to draw the eyes lmao.
I'm particularly salty about it today since I've been drawing a couple - profiles! Grrrrrrr . The whole outline of a profile drives me bats every time. And getting a mouth that looks convincing is the absolute worst.
Same for me, ears can be a pain to draw.
I sincerely prefer more simple and not too detailed style when reading comic idk why. The ears —— i feel the pain. it’s years before i realize that ears aren’t supposed to look the same from all angles xD
That’s the second thing i find the most difficult too.! I think i have difficulties with parts that convey emotions. First eyes, then mouth and then eyebrows lmao. I can only draw a sneer xD.

I don’t know absolutely, but in here it does /o/
What about the hair itself? Isn’t it more difficult ?
I'm sure there's more different type of faces that i haven't tried before, but for me now: bird characters. Even though i have my own way of drawing my bird character face, I still need a 3d reference to draw the beaks.
For me it's jawlines. Drawing them initially isn't the problem, it's recreating the way I did them later when I have to draw the character again.
Old people are hard to draw
Drawing realistic pointy noses in straight on portrait.
Rounder noses I am fine with. 3/4 view I am fine with. It's just from the front I can't get it to look right.
I like drawing faces and have a pretty cartoony style so most of it doesn’t give me trouble, but profile...
Faces in profile just never look quite right when I draw them.
Yep, profile. Maybe 1 in 5 times I get it right, but mostly they end up a little off, and I have to move on after a few tries because I have a deadline...
Open mouthes and teeth.
It's also the eyes for me, just getting them to be the same size can be frustrating!
Eyes.Eyes haunt me.Mind you, I figured out it was the sketching and building of face structure perspective that was messing me up.Once I started using 3d models to help me with perspective, the issue is pretty much gone.
