Hehe, seems interesting.
I actually wanted to share music I relate my characters to later, but I'd make an exception whenever possible:
If we talk about how my main character feels for his love interest (as of now) I'd go for Simple Plan - Loser of the Year.
He just became a teenager, and has a lot of things on his head but nothing actually clear or well-thought, so I see him being this cheesy kid who wants to show her that he needs her on his life, even if his mind is all over the place.
On the other hand, if we are talking of a song that could represent their actual realtionship, I'd go for Passion Pit - Little Secrets, because of how their bond, so far, has been made of secrets from one to the other and so on, but they have to keep it that way.
They want to get closer to both of their immature goals, and they need each other not for who they are, but for who they can be for the other to achieve said goals, even though that's just the recipe for an unhealthy friendship/relationship.
