What tablet do you use?

Looking into getting a new tablet (I have a realy old wagon bamboo) preferably looking into a display tablet (cintiq like) but I though it would be mice to hear what all the digital artists here are using ~ also please link the comic (s) you make with it so we can check them out!

For the record I think I wann get the GAOMON display tablet but like I said I currently havethe old small bamboo and theres a couple pages in Harmony Monsters that I drew with it that didn't come out too bad.

However I should note that my inking is on paper and only my text and screentones are digital. I still use a lot of digital though with other artwork. I personally love the cintiq since most of my art is traditional. I am used to seeing my art in front me on the same surface I am drawing on. So for me my cintiq feels more natural and helps me move quicker. I can still use a bamboo i have as a backup but i am WAY slower with it.

My cintiq was about 700$ through Best Buy. I had to order it and I put it on a credit card to help my credit score. Anyway, well worth every penny IMO. I suggest pay for it in cash or upfront if possible, so you might need to save up 600 to 800 isnt in your budget for an older one. The newer ones are nice and the bigger ones are too. But i like the 13hd because it is still.portable as long as i have the cables and a power outlet nearby.

Wacom Intuos Manga/Drawing Tablet.

I use an iPad Pro with Apple Pencil.
My first chapter I did with Procreate only, and airdropped my colored files onto my Mac and finished out the text with Photoshop.
My second chapter I have started using medibang paint for layout and text - and there are other awesome features in that program. I just prefer Procreate for actually drawing. Now there is an app for CSP and I might break down and try that pretty soon.

I'd say monoprice tablets are pretty alright for their price. But when I had one, it had tons of compatibility issues (even after hunting down the most up to date drivers... which was a mission in itself). Even if it was cheap for a larger drawing surface, it was annoying that I had to spend 30 minutes to an hour everytime I wanted to draw because the tablet was so wonky -3- Like, it was just barely compatible with photoshop, and even less so with clip studio paint.

But now, I use the Wacom Intuos (medium)! It's served me well, and I'll probably be upgrading to a newer one in the next year or so. uwu Actually, I might even switch over to Huion. I've been hearing a lot of good things about their newer stuff (and of course their older stuff lol).

Currently use a Wacom Intuos comic ($99)... still learning as can be seen with my comic, Beyond the Sky. But with a latest practice piece im doing I see some improvement

I use a HUION h610. It was only 70 bucks, and it works great!! I haven't had any issues with it whatsoever, it even looks nice and comes with extra nibs. <3 It's my favorite purchase I've made in a very long time.

I use a Huion K58 https://www.huiontablet.com. I wasn't expecting much from a cheap tablet first but this is truly the best one I've had so far. Really made me regret sticking with Wacom's graphire and Intuos for so long. Wish it had the tilt function but I personally don't find it to be a problem.

I don't know how good their tablet monitors are though, I've never tried them.

I used to use one of the first ever Wacom Bamboo Fun tablets that still works really well even after 10+ years, but I recently switched to an Artisul D13 that I've raved about a lot, but now has had some issues, though I believe its related to my bad computer rather than the tablet itself (will be upgrading to a new one with a good processor in spring!) It was only $400 with a nice sized screen. Aside from a few personal complaints tho, its a nice tablet (I just hope they update their drivers to have less bugs because my pen settings hardly ever work even tho I installed everything correctly) I'm sure their newer models will be far better than the 13

But yeah, now I can draw everything 100% digitally : )

i went from a bamboo fun i bought in like 2011 to a cintiq 22hd i bought earlier this year and i love it so much

make sure the display tablet has an ips screen so the colors dont get affected too much by the tablet angle. i don't recommend huion gt 220 after i was sent a faulty one by them that crackled and popped for an hour while heating up and for 2+ hours after being turned off. they expected me to return and rebuy instead of just sending a replacement so i took my business to wacom instead and havent had a single issue.

I'm using a wacom cintiq 13hd. I can't live without it, and I'll never go back to a regular tablet again. It doesn't have to be a cintiq, just any good quality display tablet will do actually. It's increased my speed from 5 non-coloured panels a week to 15 coloured panels a week, and I can't recommend using a display tablet enough.

I have a Cintiq 27(non touch). Honestly it doesn't matter what tablet you use as long as it works and fits your needs. Personally I don't like buying cheap things, especially not electronics. They break and have compatibility issues more often than more expensive ones. I can not afford to have cheap items replaced nor do I want to pay half the price and have a product work half as good. When it comes to my work I want the best. Some people say good things about other tablets but they seem to ignore the bad just because of the price. I prefer quality over saving money.

I had a monoprice display tablet for $500 and it slowed down a lot just using Clip Studio Paint and other apps. The drivers were bare bones and I couldn't customize much. I need to customize So I saved for a year and bought the Cintiq 27 instead and I've had it for more than a year now without any malfunction or damage.

The only reason I would get something else is because it is huge, other than that it is perfect. I should note that If you draw for shits and giggles you can ignore half of what I wrote, because my thinking will probably be vastly different than that of a hobbyist. I've already made back the money I paid for the Cintiq with my art so the purchase is worth it.

I use a Wacom Intuos Pen & Touch to draw my comic, Home is a Distant Wish. This is my third Wacom tablet so far and while I've been generally really happy with Wacom's products this one has a kinda rough surface, which I don't like. My previous one was Wacom Graphire 4 and it had the smoothest surface that was easy to clean and made drawing a pleasure. This one feels weird because of the roughness but other than that it's been working fine. I do wish Wacom would bring back the smooth surfaces again, though. If another company does something better I am tempted to try something else next.

Although, I don't recommend a tablet with the touch surface for anyone with cats. My cats like to sit on the tablet and somehow they can move the cursor and even pause videos with their butts. Even I don't know how to pause videos with the tablet!
