I love Halloween and it's actually my favourite holidays because it is the one day everyone gets to be a kid again. I have a lot of great memories from school Halloween parties to enjoying the trick or treating and the decorations. My favourite part is wearing a costume. Sometimes, I wish I could still wear one.

With that said, my favourite costume even to this day was the one I wore when I was four years old: I was a monarch butterfly. To this day, I have never worn a costume that brought me as much joy or was as elaborate as that one. What about all of you? What was the best costume you ever wore for Halloween and how old were you?

My first Halloween, a family friend made me a baby cow costume :joy: Still one of my favorites

Has to be 2019, my brother and I were Jawas. He made the costumes really well and everyone was trying to figure out how the faces worked, lol. Even had some kids wanting to take pics with us.

Ever since I was young, I've been using Halloween as an excuse to cosplay without having to go to an actual convention, haha. I literally learned to use a sewing machine for the express purpose of making Halloween costumes. I think my best one was probably FF7 Aerith?

I haven't made any new costumes in years (less reason to do so as I get older), but I still usually break out one of my old costumes to wear on Halloween just for the fun of it.

My favorite was the Barbie Swan Lake Odette costume. Halloween was one of the few days we didn't have to wear uniform and I felt so pretty that day. (Not my photo)

In terms of the best, the award goes to my Emmet from The LEGO Movie costume. Made mainly of cardboard, it was truly a sight, and even won me a costume contest. It also wins the award for by far the most uncomfortable costume I've ever worn in my life...

I really loved when I wore the cartoon Harley Quinn outfit (the og) with one black and red pigtail and crazy eye makeup. I also had an inflatable hammer 🤣 I still have pictures and I love it.

I initially thought that was Slender Man all dappered up.

As a teen, I once dressed as a female version of Victor(ia) Frankenstein (the doctor, not the monster). Borrowed a labcoat from a former doctor, did my hair dark and frizzy. Made a nametag stamped with 'Insane'. It looked awesome! The party I went to was rather dead though - also didn't know anybody, lol!
