Orange: Mirai. Also "My love Story." Both are very heartwarming, but Orange is much sadder. MLS is mostly just funny

Sailor Moon. Definitely. I wanna dress up magicaly every day thanks.

Sailor Moon had a big effect on me too

"Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" manga version by Miyazaki Hayao

"EMANON" comic series by Tsuruta Kenji

"From The New World" anime version. original novel version by Kishi Yusuke

My Hero Academia. Really got me thinking about character development and storytelling. I look to it a lot for inspiration. 🤩

For me it was Aldnoah Zero. I watched it on a whim when it was on netflix.
With hindsight, it was not very good but in the moment, it captivated me because I had never seen anything like it before. For me, It was my gateway drug into anime.

It is also why I have fond memories of things like Schwarzesmarken. I love that trainwreck of an anime because at the time I did not know any better.

Many when I was a teen, but I did recently watched The Apothecary Diaries and really loved it! The ending of S1 really moved me, and the whole show is very good

For me, it would be Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress and Link Click. Link Click is very emotionally driven and the story telling is just chef's kiss fr  I cried at least twice in the first season alone and I NEVER do that more than once, if at all (so you know it's good!)
As for Kabaneri, simply the idea of it is fantastic! I mean, steampunk zombies? Yessssss  it's so awesome and unique and the characters really draw you in and make you care deeply for them! I wish they did more than one season and the "movie":pensive: It's too good to stop where it did...

The manga for that one was really good! Since Miyazaki's mostly a film guy I was surprised that his comic was better than his film - and the movie is one of my favorites, too.

Azumanga Daioh was the biggest one for me when I was a teen. I was also very much into both Claymore, Vinland Saga, and Change 123 - the anime for the first two were terrible compared to the comics. Don't judge me for Change 123 - it's way better than its genre would suggest!

Oh my goddess, welcome to NHK, Watamote, Gundam iron blooded orphans, Lookism...

Just a few off the top of my head...

Your Name, Bandori: It's MyGo & Ave Mujika, Cowboy Bebop, Too Many Losing Heroines, Attack on Titan

I know these titles are kinda random and there's probably more, but these are the few that really hit me in the feels

I'd be lying if I said Ah My Goddess didn't have an influence on me as well!

Robotech, Love chunibyo and other delusions, Toradora!, Venus wars, Bubblegum crisis, Gunsmith Cats, Blame!, Oh My Goddess, and so many others.

Grendizer - for being the first "thing" I watched and not just Anime... before watching a Mickey Mouse cartoon, I was watching Grendizer at 4 or 5 years old.

Still so damn epic after all these years!!! "SSSSPPPPPPPPPPAAAAAAACE THUNDEEEEEEEERRR!!!!!"
