Hello Tapas and users,
I am from a third world country and I am kinda used to the first world countries policies on blocking content for us even if we pay for the services.
Tapas has been slowly blocking some features for me from months ago like getting free coins(now ink) and I always received the message it was because my location. I thought it was caused by the companies policies from those adds and not because of Tapas. I didnt mind much because I buy coins/ink from time on time to read some premium content.
What has surprised me in not a very positive way is that today I was also blocked for reading a new release I already paid for. I checked it from my phone and from pc it it was a mistake but it wasnt and I only get a "Content not aviable" 2 seconds pop up on the app and this from pc:
It is really upseting, specially since I was looking up on Tapas for their content more open policies but if we are going to be excluded because we are living in certain countries then what says about you as a company now?
My second disappointment is that I was thinking on publishing here but I cannot trust you now.
These kind of policies does not makes you better or protected, it narrows your public and also discriminates people and closes doors to authors.
I really would like to now it it is a temporary situation and if the money I spent on that series will be refunded if you will keep it blocked for me.
Is there any other third world users suffering like me here?
Thank you for reading.
