Hello! This is Athena, and I just want to share my novel and read something interesting on the side.
For uploading a novel episode, the limit is still 15,000 characters for everyone. Unless you're talking about the True Love on Tapas contest specifically?

it felt really good, especially in a span of my first day, but i thank only my fans cause without them, my story would be in the trash somewhere
I felt really excited when I hit my first 100 views. It feels crazy to know how many people are reading my story and have reread the chapters.
I'm actually floating right now. Seeing that Let's Go Hero is the top under Science Fiction and Popular (although I'm confused on how Chapters 3 & 4 have more views than chapter 2 [:sip:]) I even managed to get one subscriber! So I wanted to know... how do/did you guys feel?

Most of the names in Damsel in the Red Dress are pretty basic too, they are just named normal names because the world is fairly normal, with the exception of a few very specific people who's names are more unique, like Kattar, which as far as I knew was not a real first name (it is 711 people have t…
I sort of switched my series from being short stories to a gag series. But I do wish I could write some short stories, especially to flesh out back stories for characters. I am somewhat thinking of making a novel spin off to do this, and maybe have a couple of illustrations for each story.
I love it. A cat as a guardian. That's just golden Subscribed!

For my "Lion Proof" I feel like the most interesting character name really just revolves her ethnicity in relation to her character design, and that would have to be Lucy Kim. Not only does Eliza suspect her of being a spy just because she shares a last name with Mrs. Kim, the owner of Puff Mommy,…

Akala = tagalog word for "perception". Maya = Hindu term for illusion. Aka "matrix"... aka "the world" in Christianity. Akala Maya = perception illusion

Baul (pronounced ball) is just a play on words so the title works "Little Ball of Hate".

So I think my two winners are Kattar and Shannon, so I'll start with Shannon because his reason is shorter. My older brother once talked to this Aussie guy, and his name was Shannon. I had no idea that was a unisex name, and other than that guy, I had 100% only seen it used for girls. So since i n…
Oh, I see. [image] But I guess I like the noir kinda vibe the black one gives.
Yes, do the halftones. It looks more catchy.
For Let's Go Hero, it started as a "What would it be like if we gave High school students in a district superpowered suits and pitted High School v High School for territory over a city." (It has dramatically changed from that idea) For Spider-Man: Knights & Mayhem, the idea is actually the same a…

Hello, it’s so nice to read so much positivity, I really needed it. Today I managed to upload the first chapter of my new comic: https://tapas.io/series/The-Non-Life--of-Everyday/info I am so proud of my work. I postponed for a long time, but in the end I succeeded, I feel very happy and proud of my…
I have weaved together many of my old stories into one and I’m proud of the way it’s all turned out. The characters each have so much story to tell and I’ve had such a hard time figuring out how to best bring them out. Really the most difficult thing is to tie things together So I’m proud of the wa…
I'm proud of the way I write the narration in my novel. It's almost like poetry, and this is a way of meshing writing styles that I personally love. I'm also proud of the uniqueness of some of the chapter titles, and the fact that the novel managed to make some people cry. I'm proud of the dive…
Proud of this digital water painting [image]
I’ve been very happy with how my paneling has come out. I’ve come a long way in making my pages dynamic and fun to look at from my previous comics. [image]
I am very proud of my current project as it is something I have been working on 10 years before it was even published. It started off as He-Man fanfiction, but evolved into a much deeper story. After completing three other series, I feel like everything else has lead up to this. Mary Shelley's…
Just subbed. Thanks. What amazes me about the character Besh in my Space Bum series is that he is so versatile. He begins as a middle-aged man helping a friend find his lost son. Presumed dead, he shows up seven years later after being marooned on a radioactive asteroid and being possessed by the pi…
I think I leveled up a little in art skill since I started working on anghell dela Blackpill First episode.. [image] Present episode... [image]
Honestly, I am primarily the author of my webcomic and work with two amazing artists. Their work is so amazing and I am happy they are working with me. Originally the webcomic is based on a novel of mine. The novel needed a lot of work I admit but to have people work with me, and like the characters…
I keep seeing people being so pessimistic about their own work, it's heartbreaking. No more of that in this thread! Tell me something you're proud of yourself with your novel/comic for. Maybe a way you surprised readers, maybe the way a certain passage was written, maybe a character design, he…

Two OC's of mine in my story Ace of Days. \o7o/ [image]

It's really hard to keep up with changing times in a comic, unless you're Lynn Johnson of For Better or for Worse - she aged her characters in real time, including famously killing off the family dog. One of my favourite mainstream (ie, newspaper) comics is Zits. When I first started reading it in 1…

@ThunderChicken XD so true! I had thought about changing his age to 69 (thought he'd be 18 and drafted in the Vietnam War for a prequel/flashback thing, unless my math is wrong). Course he'd be working past retirement age now(67 in US), but that suits his personality. Being time/age-accurate is h…
