My name is Justin, but you can call me Books. I'm a 30-year old author. I'm Nigerian but also a United States native. I've discovered a passion for fantasy and urban fiction novels. I hope to create stories that can evolve into comics or even something greater.

The synopsis of Children of the Cursed star is quite interesting. Caught my attention immediately. I'll give it a read.
I'll say this first, you won my subscription. Now for my feedback: The exposition in the first two episodes felt a bit heavy. Like I was reading a text in school, you know? Its not that the information wasn't interesting, because it was and I like it. But as far as story telling I was put off a bi…
I literally do this. When I'm making an action scene I'll play a song that matches the energy I'm trying to display and throw it on repeat. Keeps my hype. Since I've started writing on Tapas I usually try and find a song on Soundcloud that will provide the effect, that way we can all vibe together. …
Hmm... I'll say 19
Hey guys, Books the Creator checking in. I just released my latest episode. Show me some love!
Hey guys, it's Books the Creator. Just released a few new episodes, and I'm shamelessly posting to garner attention. And now, an excerpt: [image] A few moments earlier... "We’re going to be classmates, Luck!" Axel pumped his fists in the air in excitement as Ryatt walked over to him and Mika…
That was actually rather insightful I appreciate this response
This is the character I got drawn for my work, Ryatt Drakel. [image] I'd love to see a younger version of him to match the early series. A buff pre-teen with hazel eyes as deep as stars that emit a dim scarlet glow. Ideally, he should be holding his arms out wide as if he's casting a barrier sp…
Books the creator back again, guys! How many of you edit your own work? Do you edit anything for others? I myself am a pretty good editor but I haven't worked with many other people. Let's talk tricks of the trade and collaboration! Any tips? Does anyone need some editing for cheap? Let's talk!
That's a pretty solid method IMO I like it
You're a good writer, and very creative. Keep up the good work
The first one wasn't really my cup of tea, but Remnant Dreams has a lot of potential. Keep up the good work.
A World to Call My Own is excellently written. I'm only on episode 6, but you've earned a subscription for me. I recommend this book to everyone because so far its giving me gem vibes. If i didn't have so many other books to read today, I'd probably binge it.
I've been reading Dead Souls Doing the Samba. Contrary to the name which had me skeptical I really like the story so far. I'm going to subscribe, I hope to see where this one leads me.
[image] Do you guys make your own covers? I got the core character scene illustrated but I put the rest together on my own with stock images. I'd love to work with someone who is more proficient at the art!
Same, I have the lofty aspiration of creating a novel that evolves into further forms of entertainment. A dreamer's dream is a dream well lived or whatever Pimp C said.
Fully relate to that last line. Sometimes the story really does need an incubation period while we experience more life.
Hey guys, it's Books the Creator back again. I'm in quite the giving mood today. I believe that to receive you must be willing to give, right or wrong? That being said I'm doing comments on any story I like that you guys post. I promise only one thing - In the next two days I will give any creat…
It can be quite challenging to push through the creation process on those off days. What are some things you guys do to stay motivated?
Check me out please I'd love to hear some feedback
Home for me was merely a damaged tarp, tied to two poles it was now frozen too, sitting over an over-used cot, at the back of an abandoned alley.
In the summertime, we would usually spend our days chasing the breeze and playing in the sun.
This wasn't just regular snow, either.
Time-travel, Pharaoh, magic
Hey guys, Books the newbie back again. This is a thread inspired by @kayylynnx One Word Story Chain I thought it would be cool to do a chain story thread where we go line by line. Rules: First person writes their line in the story in bold. Saving any extra statements for the non-bold font. …
Episode 8 Haan's Heart: "Ryatt…we’re out of time," I said carefully while scrutinizing Ryatt's adorable but impassive face. His brow was scrunched up as if troubled. After all, the more robust he became, the closer Micayle was to death! I could sense that his aversion to my suggested discourse w…

You should play the .hack//sign Rebirth series of games. I remember the adept rogue on that game wields a scythe in his third form, could be helpful in your imagining.
In my opinion based on entry-level tech knowledge, it's because you have links in the description. Put the links in the website sections and your about should show normally.
