Anyone have a crush on their own character?

Yeah, I've had it bad for several of my own characters. I make too many suave villain dudes, it's my weakness :'D

That said, I'll lovingly refer to most of my characters as my children and/or babies. I'm not sure if it's quite a parental sort of feeling, but I definitely feel strongly about them, haha.

I have crushes on several of my characters. I feel awkward about it because they are older than me. Like Blake who is sort of designed to be a zaddy.

So, I have multiple WIPs, and I have one in particular where the protagonist is the awesome assassin named Amalia who kills rapists (because someone tried to rape her when she was a girl). She’s snarky, kick-butt, and borderline sociopathic so I definitely have moments where I want to be her when I grow up Plus, her morality is so interesting that I can’t help but respect her.

Particularly when it comes to the love interests I write, I inject them with qualities that I find attractive and/or base them off celebrities I have crushes on.

So the character currently in the cross-hairs of my heart eyes is Valon from my webnovel, based off my old man crush Stephen Lang.

I have this one baby, shes the first OC I ever made, so Ive always thought of her as my child but before i knew it she was saving my life.
She never gives up on me, she never gives up on anyone. She's who I wish I could be. When I was so deep in depression she was always the one who found me and brought me home. Shes the light of my life. I cant wait for the world to meet her fully one day. i hope they love her as much as I do.

To me, it depends on the story and the character.
Now, if we consider the main character of my Novel, no, I don't have a crush on him, he's too baby. He's more like a son to me.
