Ready to upload, took one look decided to re write and do, but came out with a better page
That just happened to me and that is way I didn't upload a new Deadhunter page.

There are a lot of pages that I would probably re-do if I had the time but my current mantra is "finished - not perfect" because if I tried to make every page perfect I'd still be on Episode 1 lol

nah m8, by the time its time to colour all mistakes have been embraced as part of the process

its why it thumbnail pretty intensely - though i kinda wish i thumbnailed even more intensely than i do

Focus on making future pages better, and try not to mull on how your past/current pages could be better.

Same as @Kittosaurus here. Once a page is done, it's done, and I don't really got the time to mull it over. If I spend too much time mullagahning earlier pages, I'd never get anything done.
More of a 'do better next time learn from earlier mistakes' over here. Oh, and 'thumbnail intensely'. XD

Beside, the moment I have an image in my head I have to draw it or it will stay in my head like an unwanted guest.

Yep! I've done 28 for a side project, and I like how the artwork of the first pages of my comic have a weird mood to it, so I wouldn't want it any other way.

Someday I want to revise my older episodes into more of a modern webcomic format as opposed to comic strip squares. Those edits won't happen for a good while though, at least until I have a full comic book's worth of material.

My style has already evolved since I started: more color, a better font, more action ... but I'd rather flesh out the story, characters and world before going back and remastering anything.

Ah, the adage of "Done is better than perfect" rings true for me. It's tempting to go back and re-do a page, but I feel once you get stuck in that cycle you never actually progress to new pages... you just... keep redoing old ones until you're 'satisfied'.

I mean, I don't think it's wrong to reboot or restart an old project years later down the line. But I would try to avoid redoing pages on a current project. Yeah, there are probably some pages I could fix and do better on, but most readers don't really notice or care? Learn from those mistakes, apply them to future pages and keep progressing!

I'm glad you're happy with your new page! Being satisfied with your work is just as important as getting it posted on time.

If I'm really unsatisfied with the layout of a page, or if I realize the page doesn't make sense the way I wrote it, then I will draw it again. However, I won't re-do a page after uploading. Small edits, maybe, but not a full re-do.

Never after uploaded. unless you only uploaded a few pages and you rebooted the entire comic.

It's not happened that I immediately start to redo, but I do have a few pages posted that I know were not the greatest. And the desire to go back and redo the starting pages of my comic has been increasingly gnawing at me. I have transitioned into a simper, faster style and those first attempts at learning the craft are super bugging me. Granted, I am only 20 pages into my comic, so redoing would not be a monumental undertaking, but they would still be taking the time I could be doing 20 new pages.

I try to tell myself this is my non serious starter comic and it doesn't matter, so long as I get better for when I do the ones that really mean something to me, but I guess I am worried that the less than stellar first pages could be putting people off.

Perfection takes way too much time, a comic is a marathon, you need to sacrifice the perfection in order to deliver content every single week...
Ask yourself some questions:

• Dialogue is clear to understand and typo free?
• The scene events are not ambiguous (readers can to tell what's happening)?
• The characters are distinguishable from each other (readers can tell who's who)?
• Props consistency (Be sure objects/clothes/details from previous pages remain on the current page)

The page might be perfectly drawn, but if it lacks the basics, it's not perfect at all.

I have made 7 pages so far of my comic and have fortunately enough loved all of them so far. I am actually pretty hard on myself with stuff but am impressed sometimes by my own work. I sometimes get in that place where I feel like I wasn't even the one who created the page because it seems and feels beyond my actual capacity. I know it wont always be like that, but I'm certainly enjoying that mentally right now.

I always try to get outside myself when I'm creating something. As if the thing I'm creating is already out there and has been created by someone else and its a well established comic I'm looking at and wishing I could have done. Idk, kind of hard to explain sometimes. Everything I make I picture its already been made.
