How long will your webcomic be if it's an animation/movie

So let's hear it! How long will your webcomic be if it miraculously become an animation or a film?

Will it be like a typical anime season of 12 or 13 episodes? A 2-hour feature film? or just a series of 1-3 minute animation shorts.

There's no need to do the math just estimate it based on how long your story is or what's more appropriate/suitable to the webcomic.

This is all just for fun and it'd be interesting (I think).

As for my webcomic, The Angel with Black Wings I think it'll probably be a 1 or 2 feature length films. I was thinking of a 13-episode anime but I think the story is way too short for that so a movie is more suitable.

Demon House: probably a 52 episode cartoon/anime
Heavy Horns: probably a 22 or 24 episode anime
Erie Waters: 90-120 minute movie.

I also wouldn't mind if these were all live-action, as long as the demons and effects look right.

A Legend (of some sort): Probably a 90-120 minute animated movie. I mean, it could be made into an ongoing comedic television show but since i started writing this 4.5 years ago, Adventure Time happened, so...

I think my comic, Tales from the Well, is pretty flexible! It has several tales/chapters, that can be written into a (10-15 minute) short or an episodic mini-series. Episodic series would probably suit it better than a film.

Life of an Aspie is still very much in its infancy right now, but like most everyone else here in this thread so far, I would definitely want a multi season anime rather than a 2 hour movie. As for the specifics of the anime itself, due to the main character being American in a Japanese setting, she would definitely have to speak some English as with the rest of the cast as well in the sub. In the English dub, I would want authentic Japanese voice actors who speak English well for the Japanese characters.

As for the tone/art direction of the anime, LooA is a shoujo by default categorization, but at the same time isn't strictly a shoujo either. Susan is a big big nerd. Video games, manga, anime, the works. so I guess LooA would have stylistic elements of something like Scott Pilgrim for example whenever a pop culture reference is made (or we see things through Susan's unique Asperger's fueled imaginative perspective.)

Oh! This is an interesting take on this question!

I've always said Runewriters couldn't ever be a movie; you'd have to cut whole plot threads and simplify it down so much just to make the story coherent in a movie of bearable length that, while it would be possible, it would be pretty bland by the time it got there.

I think the amount of magic involved would preclude live-action, so if it were gonna be adapted into SOMETHING, it'd have to be a multi-season anime/cartoon. Since I don't...... watch much TV it's hard to guestimate, but maybe close to Avatar's length? Like 3 seasons?

But seriously, Grassblades would have to be a cartoon/anime series, to be able to fit all of it in there. Considering the estimated length of the comic, I'm thinking it would end up being perhaps 50-75 episodes, perhaps even longer depending on how the parallell storylines would be handled.

The Vapors would probably be a series of 2-5 minute shorts. Sort of like Lascars but less dialogue-driven.

It would be as long as it needs to be. Probably I would stick to the prototype as much as I can. Many animations ruined original concept manga had. They needed to change or cut things and it didn't work very well :<

And I would lean more towards live action TV show, actors can express more than animated character, unless the animation is really good and more realistic.

I imagined one part of University of Speed as one 30 minute episode of anime. Since U-Speed will have 24 parts then it's a 24-episode anime. ^u^

Echo as an anime/carton would be maybe up to 50 episodes long... Maybe more, maybe less? That's what, two seasons, right? Or 4 if it's 13 episodes long.

I don't plan on turning Spiral of Nightmares into an animated series or movie BUT I do have plans of making the story after Spiral of Nightmares in a movie or animated film I should say possible 2 hours long.

Ephemeral Happiness I really don't know yet. it's not really in here but I do have plans in turning it into a game.

pretty cool question...I've always envisioned R:ILPERSONA to be a 6 season series (72 episodes) with one movie that ties into the story canon but can be viewed separately from the rest of the series.

Although, what's currently been released is probably only one or two full length episodes but since I already have the entire story plotted out it pretty much would be that long if it were to become an anime. Hopefully it does one day lol

Well the story I'm working* on is roughly 25 chapters long, each one is about 20-40 pages (with one HUGE 100+ page chapter in the middle) and the story takes place over a time of roughly a year...

So as an animated series it would probably the the same number of episodes (or a bit shorter depending on what might be cut or added) and would take 750 minutes (12.5 hours) to binge watch...
