Hi Sara, and everyone else~

I am indeed over 25, though I recently went back to school to get my teaching credential. I'm way more busy than when I was working, especially because going to school involves quite a bit more commuting. :persevere:

I'm in my 30s, although I write stuff for younger audiences. Here are my 2 series

so amusing...starting to think i am the oldest fart on tapas at almost 50 (in a few years)

this is me when i was 19 (no bucket!)

and this is my comic

Heeey, I'm Nes. I'll be 27 this weekend, but I think my comic makes me look like I'm a 7 year old. Sometimes a messed up 7 year old :upside_down:

I'm in the middle of searching for a job right now, but I wanted to make a funny comic as a hobby. The art style is simple as hell for several reasons, the biggest being to save time, but I do try to focus and spend more time on the quality of the jokes instead.

By the way, your comic is adorable, Sarah.

Hi There!

I just turned 25 a few months ago (so hopefully you will still accept me on this thread). I unfortunately went to college and specialized way too early and ended up with a diploma in a field I didn't want to pursue (3D Modeling), so now I am stuck working a customer service job to pay off my student loans :confused: (though I am working hard to find a job in a creative field instead)

I am currently working on The Librarian Arachnid Slayer which you can read here:

Edit: Or here as I am finally uploading the series to Tapas as well:

I'm 29 ;;;;; I've been scared for the longest time but I wanna fight for my dreams and all that ^^;;; It's really hard to balance work and my dreams but I need to get there somehow.

I just recently turned 29, I currently work on two comics, one slice of life and one magical girl. I'm a full time student, trying to find a new job right now as I'm tired of working at my current one, and raising a teenager.

32 and stuck working retail. Drawing comics is not a very strong escape plan, but it's what I enjoy doing. Hopefully, everyone here loves what they're doing on Tapas, even if their day job is unrewarding.

Not mine, but from a friend who's more than 25 as well!
This novel deserves more love. For real! It's fun and serious, it's solid, the characters aren't simpletons or one-caracteristic, they're real in a way that only a good writer can convey.
Honestly, this is a little pearl :3

Well, I am the oldest one here. For those who really want to know, I turn 50 in November. I quit writing professionally in 1997. The last article I wrote cost more in postage than I got paid. Email was not an acceptable form of submission back then. Most of what I wrote back then was non-fiction. I didn't write again for 21 years. I have worked in remodeling construction, electronic assembly, Long haul trucking, and numerous other jobs. Currently I am a CNA who specializes in terminal clients. During this last year I started writing again. I am currently working on the 2nd draft of a book. When I get stuck and need to let the book percolate in the back of my subconscious, I write a short story. I won't publish the book on Tapas until I am done with it. I do however publish the short stories on Tapas. Because the short stories are not my main focus, they don't get added to regularly. You can find them here:

At 43 years old, I am probably the token Old Fart of these forums. I think you are interested in comics, not novels. I am participating in the creation of the second Tapas Fight Club match which will be a comic, but we are still in planning stages of that.

@Zaboem writing was included.

I'm a 1991-liner here :wave:

Went to school for a couple of years (community college then uni), worked in food service for a bit, doing a bit of freelance now and going to conventions to promote/sell my art & comics. Trying out some writing and hoping to publish prose in the future.

Just a few minutes ago actually I just published my short comic, feel free to check it out :v: :pray: :star2:

Woooo! 29 here! Back in the day, I was a dog groomer, but now I'm military. I have obtained a BA in Psychology, and I plan to start my Masters next fall. I wrote a lot when I was younger but the pressure put on me by my mother to "pick a job that will actually make money," drove me away from writing. I just got back into it about a year ago when I joined Tapas. I pretty much write fantasy, and lately with LGBT+ characters, but my short stories have varied a bit. So these are my babies! (with another on the way soon!)

Hello. I'm Valerie, and I'm 44. Thanks to mariusthered, I no longer feel like the oldest person on Tapas. Age has its advantages, especially given that I write mostly history.

Here's some of my work. I actually saw some of the events depicted here live on TV.

Same with this.

But not this, though I know a lot of people who did and even participated. I may be old, but not that old.

Hi! I'm 32 years old. My day job is sort of a graphic designer/customer service mash up. I make sure the designs people submit are ready for printing basically. I enjoy it, but would rather be drawing comics. Still hoping someday to do it full time... I have one completed comic, a sequel to it, and one newer comic!

Completed comic:

Sequel:

New:

I have been following Tiger of the Storm. It's the only biographical comic I know on Tapas. It's greatly unique in that way.

I'm 26, but I feel much older sometimes haha;;
I finished up uni after some delays earlier this year, and have yet to settle into a regular job. For now I'm doing freelance work and comics and lots of personal projects. I keep busy.

With this comic, I hope to both improve my skills as an artist and storyteller, and build up a fanbase for future projects.
