Yes, weapon designs! :heartpulse: My readers have seen this painting but are aware at the moment, Stellar is no warrior. And she doesn't ever really become one for good. But sometimes when your loved ones are being threatened, you have to pick up the mantle - even if the one doing the threatening is also a loved one. That's all I'll really say because you know, spoilers. (I do have another painting but it has a ton of blood and I don't want to get in trouble in case it's against the rules lmao.)

While I don't have individual weapon shots and nor are these the bespoke "Main Characters" of Descendants of Ether, here are two characters that have some awesome weapon designs. The first is Lady Noctum with her unnamed Katana (she finds no point in naming weapons as she burns through them too quickly to bother naming them.)
The second is Malkhovich and his signature scythe "Malkhovich's Eyer". The scythe itself severs souls from their body allowing Malkhovich to manipulate them at his will.

Check them out in action in Descendants of Ether!

My mc's main weapon is his fist.

K.A.’s Caracal Blue armor, which vastly increases her strength, speed, endurace, reaction time, and durability. Features include satellite uplink, night vision, two hours’ worth of oxygen, and a chain multitool

Adi ends up with an impressive arsenal over time (which I should and probably will draw at some point), but at the beginning of the story, she has a knife:

She also owns a bow, but she doesn't have it at hand when her adventure starts, so she's stuck with a knife for now.

Koreal... doesn't have a weapon starting out. He's a wizard, though-- he sort of IS the weapon.

Rekki's iconic weapon is of course her infamous "rectangle with a hilt"...

It's basically a big block of steel that's close to half Rekki's total height. How does she draw it? The same way Geralt draws and sheathes his unreasonably long back swords in The Witcher 3, through the magic of suspension of disbelief! :sweat_02:

Some key points:

  • The lack of a pointed tip is a Lune family tradition. It makes it very clear that they fight demons, not people, so have no need for stabbing or getting between gaps in armour; just draw attacks and hewing through big monsters.

  • She had this sword specially made for her after she broke her basic arming sword as a teenager (as seen in the prologue). As you'd expect from something designed by Rekki, it's about as subtle as a brick in communicating that even though she's only 5'3", she's really, really strong, you guys!

  • The massive size of it has both pros and cons relating to Rekki's overabundance of red magic compared to frequencies with better travel distance outside the body. On the one hand, it can store a lot of magic, allowing for sword draw attacks that are much more powerful and have greater travel distance than she'd achieve with a normal sized weapon. On the other hand, it can take an hour or more between draws for it to fully charge up again because of how little of Rekki's low frequency magic escapes her body to get absorbed even by something on her hip.

  • Rekki insists the name of this weapon is "Thor's Chisel", but Sarin started calling it "Trash Smasher" as a joke and the name sort of stuck. Most of Rekki's friends, family and fellow knights call it Trash Smasher.

@MasterValkyrie nice to meet you and Burning Nightmare looks awesome  :crossed_swords:

Evan's weapon source is literally his Spit, he spits a lugie into his hand and presto!

He can calcify his saliva to form an array of melee weapons, and usually shuffles between swords, daggers, javelins, sticky gels and explosive bubbles

Guess in that case his Spit Blade can be considered his main weapon as he often uses that form

Alfredo's main weapon, since He trained in its use after discovering to have one, is the "GIZMO", as the name suggest, it's sort of a MULTI-GADGET, capable to turn into anything the user wants.

Dreamer's typically used the ETHEREAL AXE Form as their weapon and symbol, while by standard it's like a Light saber.

But the main quirk of the GIZMO is that it can alter its shape mechanically, turning into any weapon or tool the user need, as long as there is a DRIVER for that, in these two unreleased instances (future pages), Alfredo can use it as a Wrench (His favorite Choice)

Or a chained shield, in a similar fashion to "Rylgar".

There is also a part regarding it in the LOREBOOK ENTRY II: https://tapas.io/episode/22431651 which let you know the various design, and overall how it works.

On one hand, I feel like showing it's sort of a spoiler cause he still hasn't got it in the comic, but on the other hand I made a new cover in which he's showing it so...

But explaining how it works is a spoiler so if anybody here is reading Auster You have been warned

Dasch's ability is to copy his opponent's abilities and manifest them as weapons, more specifically hand cannons. The one he has on that image had the ability of the first person he fights against...So basically Dasch is Kirby...

Is a very tricky ability to use cause every time you're up against a different enemy you're gonna get a cannon with a different ability which you'll have to learn how to use, also is gonna be the same ability that your opponent has so he'll know what its capable of. Dasch will have to find out new ways to use his oponents abilities or outsmart them in order to win in every battle.

Savina's main weapons are her fists and her magic!

Nira's weapon is her late father's rifle. It's old and outdated, but she refuses to trade it in for a newer model.

My main character Felix's weapon is a trumpet, but he could use any instrument to deal damage!
If you want to see him fighting in action then make sure to check out my comic Ragtime!
