My favorite art style is from a manga called Kingdom.

With its detailed war scale and an epic battle of giant generals and character designs, it is really epic for me.

I'll show you one of the panels between the two generals.

It's hard to choose one out of so many styles that appeal to my tastes, but the art style of Rojika to Rakkasei really speaks to me. With it's messy lines but detailed environments with tons of personality, and slightly cartoon-ish characters contrasting with the sporadic bouts of dark subtext, I take a lot of inspiration from this little-known manga in my own art.

Vagabond by Takehiko Inoue, come on it's pure art, full HD with the majestic use of ink.

Berserk by Kentarou Miura, the man is the avatar of Brahma, because I don't know how he is doing all this by hand. You should see his page spreads to believe in gods.

Recently in love with My Hero Academia by Horikoshi Kohei, because oh boy it's dynamic, clean and the man can draw emotions so well.

Sachin Teng. Love his colours and how he's drawing with those colour bulbs and this coloured lines oh man.

Even Amundsen, I cannot even comprehend how he's doing whatever he's doing, but it's awesome. Look at all the character of those characters, so many character!

Yana Toboso - she has been a huge inspiration for me for years, I love how polished her art looks! (look at her, being hired by Disney...)

Kamome Shirahama - I recently fell in love with her art in Witch Hat Atelier because it's very art nouveau-inspired. I especially like when she draws detailed compositions like this:

Akihiko Yoshida - I love how his art is detailed and dreamy, he does a lot of character designs for Square Enix!

J Carlos - one of the first Brazilian comic artists, he did amazing compositions too. Walt Disney wanted to hire him, but he didn't want to leave Rio (so Disney kinda... stole one of his designs to make Zé Carioca lol)

Ooh, let me post some inspirations!

Rod Wong, Ron Marz and Jared Pullen made some amazing art for the first two Legend of Spyro games. I love the crooked, yet cartoony and stylized style they used for those games, and it translated very well to the rather low budget(after too much was spent on VAs) graphics. It's kind of like Warcraft but not as exaggerated or colorful.

Nostalgia aside, Neopets' style just makes me really happy when it's done consistently. It started by being limited by flash, but as the technology improved, they got a good hold of the thick lineart style and REALLY got crazy with it on the final Viacom years. Shame it's all outsourced now, as much as the artists do their best to stick to the style it doesn't always work.

Jen Zee's style is the BEST. It's a perfect blend of detailed areas and others with just the necessary, and on all of Supergiant's games it shines through. Thought about getting a Hades design as an example but Pyre is the one I have a soft spot for - but it's hard to get more utterly SICK than some of the god designs on the former.

Is hard to choose bc it depends on the story you are telling.

• Ralf König 's drawings are not beautiful but they are perfect for his acid sense of humor. I highly recommend him if you are looking for lgtbi stories, he is the german king of underground stories.

• Ana Miralles is an spanish artist that lives in France (or used to) her drawings are full of detail, sensuality and beauty. And everything with watercolors! She barely uses the computer. Her most famouse work is probably Djinn with Jean Dufaux but she has published quite a lot.

• Stan Sakai 's work is also beautiful in his own way. Clean and neat, free of anything superfluous adn yet so full of emotions.

There are more but I think I'm going to stop here. Do I like the art for the shake's of art or do I like it bc each different style is a perfect match for the story they are telling? I guess we will never know.

I like a lot of different styles but ones that include a lot of color variation hold my attention the longest.

5cm per second's movie studio does amazing stuff.

Basically just art styles I haven't been able to do myself - colors that flow into a painterly fashion and yet remain soft while still retaining their colorful sense of 3d without falling into "omfg must do perspective to show emotion".

Katsuhiro Otomo will always be the best~! He gives his characters such life and emotion and his style is just so moody, stark, and dynamic~!

If we're talking about classic paintings, you can't go wrong with William Bouguereau. Holy smokes the details in his paintings are stunning.

I also absolutely love Kita Senri of Fire Emblem fame! There's such nice variety in her designs and her style is somehow realistic but also delightfully anime and stylistic at the same time. There's also something I really like about her lines and coloring style.

(But I digress).

Stan Sakai is one of my favorites!

I have waaay too many favorite artists, so here are a few that I'm loving at the moment.

Doug TenNapel, Earthworm Jim guy who also makes some wild comics. His style is really expressive and seems totally unique and confident, and I appreciate how crazy and off-the-wall it can be.

Lorena Alvarez Gomez is just... unbelievable. She's easily in my top 10 favorite artists. I love her whimsical, detailed, colorful, imaginative art SO much.

Guille Rancel's work is wild, whimsical, and adorable. I want to read stories about every one of his characters.

Loish, for reasons that should be obvious

Elentori because she's outrageous at expressing mood and emotion so perfectly with a style that isn't necessarily perfectly polished, but the sketchiness adds to the charm!

i like alot of styles... i guess thats why i slightly change my style every couple months on my insta. cant stand doing the same style over and over.

• for painting or for hot dudes i say yy6241 on instagram i wont show their art cause its all nsfw but its soooo beautiful and i dig their painting approach

• for linework and more hot dudes theres an artist on twitter called MACBETHOFF
  

• for really wacky/unique artstyles that keep my style inspiration fresh, i like sugarandmemories , shes on twitter and instagram she does alot of fanart
  and theirs an artist on instagram called flithyguts they make alot of halloween esque art but i love the colors they use

• For eyegasms Kuvshinov Ilya is THE man to do it for you. hes my inspiration to keep my color in my art in check hes on facebook, instagram, deviantart
