So, here is a question, how a mortal should talk to their god?
You know that people should address to others depending on their level of respect.
For example, Sir, Mr, Ma´am, Miss...
So, what about a God? in this case, the one that shapes your world. How you should address it?
It is respectful to call this kind of god by their name or it is disrespectful?

I imagine it would be like talking to a ruler or an emperor, with great respect. So, something like your majesty, your greatness, your holiness etc.

Of course, that depends on the context of your story. Does the mortal who is talking to the god worship them, or are they against them? Do gods exist in their world or do they live in their own plane of existence? Are they pals or is it more of a ruler/subject relationship?

Well in this story we are talking about multiversal Gods, so their presence can be anywhere anytime, the thing is they never show up to anyone until now, so its an extremely rare event, and each god is known by craft the world with their own elemental property.
Nobody is against these gods, they are afraid or very respected

Ooh okay, in that case I definitely think they'd be addressed in a way similar to the examples I gave above. I imagine saying their names might be blasphemous, but that's up to you!

Using Thee and Thy is pretty common, although that's more of a Christian thing, historically you'd use it for God and for the King (and also for your close relations, although nowadays we see Thee and Thy as a very formal way of speaking).

I'd call him "my dude". I think sane people would say something like, "your holiness" or "your divinity".

Sounds like a cool set up for some world building! I think it’ll depend on the religion how people organize under that religion, social norms, who the deity is, what the deity believes and what the character talking to the deity believes.

For example: I am catholic. The catholic religion is really strict about god being omnipotent And all powerful and humans are not deserving of his love, however, because of what I believe, if I got to talk to Jesus, the son of god in the catholic religion, from the stories of him that are written in The bible which is our religious book, I believe he’d be a really cool person, like treats kids with love and respect, washes peoples feet, loves his mom, yah the guy sounds pretty laid back and a nice person. I would call him Jesus rather than ‘son of god’ or something like that because of all those world building factors I mentioned below. I definitely recommend looking at this because it could be some great opportunities to define your reality in your story ^*

Depends on level of respect they have for the god. If they're a worshipper then basically treat it like they were talking to a king, and if they're not then they should at least be polite and respectful.

Saying that, however, there's a point (much) later in my novel where a character gets fed up of being messed around and is rather snarky towards their gods :stuck_out_tongue:

depends on the culture and how gods are viewed. Lesser gods higher gods, ect.

My Lord, exalted one, holy one.

You could also create your own titles for how to address a god, if your world allows it? There are a few languages/races in my own story and they all do things a little differently.

maybe they could start by referring to the god/ goddess as "Your holiness", then the God is like, " Nah call me Zeus"
