What do people like about your comic?

The one thing that everybody who's either read and/or reviewed my comic Life of an Aspie has complimented me on has been how well I've portrayed Susan's asperger's up to now. Being an aspie myself, that I think helped a lot in making Susan's case believable.

For Crow's Worth...

-Funny. I don't really find it that funny tho.
-"I like the art style". This one I am OK with...Tho it is hard to really pin point what my inspiration was...it was sort of based on me trying to make a generic "American cartoon" style.
-"Nice shading". I don't think my shading is anything special but I do think it helps mask my messy line work as well as make the characters "pop".

The weirdest one...
-"I want you to draw [character] nude." HAHAHAHA....maybe one day.

For my comic, Oni x Fox, people have mentioned enjoying the zany expressions I draw, and how I am able to push the facial emotions very far despite all the characters wearing masks.

The dialogue, characters, and character designs people have complimented as well. All of these have made me very happy as these are all things I have a lot of passion for My works are often very character-driven and hearing from others that I'm able to bring so much life to them is awesome!

For Centralia, people often say they like:

Backgrounds-- A lot of people have told me they really like the background/environment art of the comic, which is nice, because I spend a buttload of time on them.

Midori-- Which is great, considering she's the main character! It would be unfortunate if people couldn't stand her. A lot of readers have indicated that they can empathize with her, which I'm happy about.

Mystery-- A lot of readers seem to be enjoying the mystery of the plot, and get excited when new hints and information are dropped. On the flip side they get upset if I tease them with information but don't reveal big secrets |D Haha...

My favourite feedback is when people comment on the story or writing. I appreciate feedback on the art too, but I'd rather focus on having a compelling narrative than just a bunch of nice artwork. So when readers tell me they're enjoying stuff about the writing, it really makes my day. :>

For Reus, usually the things I get comments on are "I love your character interactions!" or "such nice backgrounds!" which is great because those are two of the things I pride myself on. I'm always happy when I get the occasional "your art has improved a lot!" or a guess about where the story is going. I get complimented on my tags a lot, too XD I'm happy with any comment, really. Even if it's just a "LOL" or a "OHHH", I'm just so pleased people are reading and interacting. I guess the thing I work the hardest on/doesn't come easily to me is lineart, and while I haven't gotten a comment on it (good or bad) I'm pretty ok with that haha. The colors are more impressive/interesting, and people seem to like them.

For my comic Star Pace Most of the compliments i have gotten usually have to do with my art or artstyle, something I'm kinda of surprised about since I'm pretty critical looking back on my art. Ive also gotten a few about characters, story and coloring

The only one I can think of at the moment that really stood out to me (and several people have commented on) for Burning Bright is they liked the way I draw wings. This is one of those comments that make me go all fuzzy inside because I loathe drawing wings and I never feel like I get them right, so when people go out of their way to comment on how they look good, it's a nice feeling!

For my comic Lacrim people have said that they like the creepiness to each of my drawings, the art style and the little creatures I make as well. I'm kinda new to the genre of horror, so it's really nice to know I'm doing something right.

For Hot Metal Miami, most of the comments so far compliment the colors, a few like the art style. I'm more happy about the colors, I want them to shine and it takes so much longer to color. It'd be nice to get to the point where I can get some comments on what's going on in the story, though it's still fairly early on for that. I'm passionate about the colors though, so compliments on them make me all warm inside.

For Grassblades, the things most frequently mentioned are:

• The artwork. People seem to appreciate both the environments and the characters themselves, which is lovely! Before Grassblades, I used to avoid drawing environments, but set out to change that when I started this comic - I'm happy to see it's paying off!
• The characters themselves. My commenters seem very fond of my main characters, and I seem to have lucked into inventing secondary characters people want to see more of. <3
• The writing has gotten compliments - both in terms of plot and in terms of single lines of dialogue. (I think Masahiro's occasional accidental dad-joke might help here XD)
• The panel-layouts have gotten mentions quite frequently.
• Wen's legs.
• Also, shipping. I highly encourage shipping of all kinds, even when it's never going to actually happen. <3

For my comic they seem to mention that they like
1. The characters a lot, in terms of personality, interaction with eachother etc
2. Art and character design
3. The extras at the end of episodes
4. The pets XDD
5.Expressions (which i didnt expect, always thought i dont put enough expression but people seem to like it)
Thankfully most stuff i put focus on, especially the characters because i wouldnt say my story is plot heavy, so when people like and relate to the characters it means a lot to me.

My comic has only gotten 3 comments, 2 consisted of; "great art, but what's the story?" even though it's only like, pg 5, that pressured me to pump out pages every day to move the story along for a while. then I got one comment saying; "So cute" Commenting on a drawing at the end of a chapter.
