Hi ! I'm from France and I got a similar problem. Now there are comics I can't read because of my country... Cool I'm not alone but uncool we can't all read the same stuff !
I hope it can be fixed somehow

Good night

It's tediously common that your location can decide those kinds of things. Sometimes it's the countries themselves that don't want their people to have access. Have you considered getting a VPN?

:0 whaaat ??!! this is so weird!! usually are countries like mine the blocked ones alluding to piracy when the fact there is a lot of people who has the economic means to buy some content just to enjoy life a bit more but that your country is also blocked is weird.
Yeah, I tried to check on tapas policies and I dont see a list with excluded countries at all.
If they have this kind of policies at least please allow us to know before buying the content! I could have used that to support someone else instead.

Please, share with us if you get an answer. I get a little flustered when I learn about this because the "ghost of censorship" that haunts latin america countries.

Usually I try to do things legally before considering second ways. I had a vpn in my old laptop but this is a new one and havent installed one yet. ;w; but thanks yeah I will have to get to use it again if things with oinernet continues like this

I believe we had a similar thread earlier last year, where someone's comic was blocked on Webtoons. But the topic did come up that the country themselves might've done the blocking instead of Webtoons. The reason for them was possibly 18+ content in the comic.

Again, it'll probably help you more to contact someone directly from Tapas before we assume the worst. If it is from their side, they'll have a likely answer. But if it's from your country, it might be out of their hands and you might have to consider a VPN.

I definitelly will!! Consumers rights must be protected! and In case this post is deleted, I will publish any answer I get on my other social media. Thank you

Thank you for the information. No, usually the blocking content policies comes from the countries the platforms are based on, not mine. These countries creates policies against some countries even for silly reasons. So, yes, it is in their hands, no mine. Its a long complicate historical/economical and political stuff I would get depressed to get in details rn unless you search for Nicaragua situation few posts in english that exist on the internet. preferibably read the ones published on The Guardian or Al Jazeera, even Buzzfeed got a good report.
So its so sad I cant even get some enjoyment safe at home.

Hello!. I hope so because Im just back from IG and Tapas promoting the series post apparead on my feed (as a recent post) and I noticed the first 4 people commenting and all of them were complaining about the same thing! whats happening??!!

EDIT: I did read the caption on IG and its the only place where warns us its only avaiable in north america (yet, Mexico is banned)
why Tapas didnt put a warn on the story first?? and to avoid us from paying for it??? its definitely not my fault but Tapas/author? for not warning us before launching the story.

May be it's more a fault of the laws of those countries, than Tapas itself.

I'm just wondering why is it limited to north America only.

I checked the app on both iOS and android, and they both unavailable (obviously), but it didn't have the buy chapters option.

(and also, yoon, when I put the apple on landscape mode, the app fc)

Can a creator dictate where their content is readable? Just thinking outside the box of what's been suggested.

It’s absolutely possible but really weird? I know my country has nearly no laws regarding fictional content other than things like CP- I can’t imagine why this would happen?

I don't know for sure, but I suspect that it can be connected with LGBT-friendly content, which is represented in Tapas widely. Unfortunately, in some countries it's considered as something harmful, so it may be censored :slight_frown:

i just checked the comic and yup, blocked here too (third world country)
this is quite odd as i've never ran into a blocked comic before this one...?

Hmmm... I've just checked that https://tapas.io/series/ohmyassistant108 comics, and it's blocked for Russia, too! While all other yaoi comics I've seen are available. Now I think that it may be a bug of some sort.
P.S. In the meantime, use VPN, as people above already suggested. For example, I can see this comics from Netherlands server.
