Thank you for the advice, I'll be sure to look into it.

Hope that the devs are well fed during all the work! Infinite scroll reading is very appreciated, always something that is nice! Also very happy to know that we will be able to see series banners (never don't want to be able to see Heart of Keol's series banner) I do have a couple of critiques tho…

Not really, I asked several people to check the page and they all found the comments box weird if not annoying, because if you have a computer with a smaller screen the comments box overlaps with the pages and you have to manually activate it to comment, which interrupts the reading flow, and then h…

I really hope comments don't get shorter or discouraged. Interacting with readers is one of the most rewarding parts of sharing my work here, way more than numbers and subs

Honestly thrilled with how hard Tapas staff works to listen to users and to think about both mobile and desktop experience. The team works really hard and deserves kudos all around! However I also want to add our vote for the ability to expand comments/expand the comment box. Receiving long, in-de…

Yea some comments can get really long. Having them squished in the sidebar can be tedious and cramped. Hopefully ratique has notified the team

Ah yea now I'm seeing the issue you're talking about. It does the same for me

It does look like that, but that's only a single comment, and it never displays more than just the top one there for me.

Yeah, it only shows one comment, and even when you click 'see all' comments in the full page with the sidebar hidden, it just redirects you to the sidebar that reopens. (on google chrome)

This isn't working for me. At least, when I click "full" at the bottom of the menu, if I then click "see all," "add a comment," or "comments," it goes out of full screen back to windowed mode, and the comments still appear in the sidebar. But even if it did work, using a fullscreen mode is no…

That's not even the same hairstyle, lol. The tutorial just reads "Don't draw characters with straight hair, because I can't figure out how to do it without making them wavy."

Updated the parent post: [3:30pm] We've blocked the main perpetrators and manually blocked and banned the accounts. There are a few spam accounts that fall outside of these main perpetrators that we're tracking and shutting down. We'll also looking into ways to remove the comments en masse to sav…

Do you want a honest answer? If it would happen online, I would block this person without any explanations. If it would happen IRL, I would drop fuck-bomb at them and get offended. I know, it's not adult reaction, but this is what would happen.

Yes, we've been through enough this year No, we need to laugh now more than ever Other 0voters Show results Not that we could actually 'cancel' April Fools' day...but I'm one of those who's just kinda choosing to opt out. I'm not really feeling it this year... As for others' behavior, I'm …

The clowns have taken over world stage. What me want right now is "Sensible People Day."

Nah, she's on the way out of the illness :B she's feeling much better now

Get well soon! Well done for being sensible and staying home! :star:

As a reader, I prefer reading more than one page but no more than five pages in one update. I think 2-3 pages is enough. As a creator I update two pages at a time and I give myself a buffer that is at least a moth and a half long.

This thread is long enough but I think yall are missing one very important thing: Authors/artists are people and don't owe you anything and can do whatever they want with thier media at any time, even if its a "bad" decision.

All I learned from this thread is now I'm worried about when my characters are revealed to be LGBT.

It may have gotten a little lost in my attempt to explain but I'm not speaking about everyone that does this or the OP's un-named comics that I obviously can't directly comment on. I'm more so commenting about the cases were I have actually seen this happen in my corner of the webcomic creators…

Why is "pandering" a bad thing. What is wrong to appealing to an audience you want to buy your book? If a medium does something you don't like, why dismiss it as "pandering" when it's a show that you're not the target audience. I don't like isekai they're pandering to youth that like long shonen…

That would be an awful business decision by Tapas though. To give essentially prime real estate to a work that had such niche appeal. I think you need to look into some other’s points about what work needs to work when featured as well. I’m featured regularly, and I can tell you that not all featu…

God I'm really glad all you Premium folk came out to bring up your two cents. And that everyone has been respectful about you doing so. I think your insight shouldn't be discredited as biased. Everyone has biases and there's no problem having them so long as people are open and honest about those…

To add, I suppose it's also like being able to understand a joke. There is a certain amount of knowledge needed beforehand to fully understand the presented message, either the comedian/story-teller sets it up or its in the news, etc. Memes in particular have whole layers of pre-existing context, wh…

It is extremely hard to make a living on webcomics alone. Most artists I know whose comics make money also do commissions or have a part-time job on the side. It's just the sad fact of the world; comic artists' wages haven't risen with inflation in several decades, and being a comic artist is someth…

Yeah, if you want to make a living as a webcomic artist, you have to be really lucky. Yes, a certain amount of skill producing and marketing your work is required too. I'm not saying there is no hard work involved. But getting that big break does involve some luck. Same goes for non-webcomic art, …

ooo I hadn't thought of that. Read what you feel is comfortable then. I'd say at least 10 would at least get yo a good feel for it. I'll add that in up above.

I think losing readers is just something we have to face after you finish a story, and not every person who followed your first one will be around for the next. My short comic had it's best month in June last year. That was a full 2 months after I had posted any updates on it what so ever. (…

Hello all, you may be noticing that existing self-promotion threads are being locked and hidden. This is done to remove spam and some ridiculous duplication (Why is "shameless" such a popular word in this category??). I'm also closing threads that are from previous years and should have died a lon…
