So I've been working on a digital version of my normally traditionally drawn comic. I haven't made a lot of digital art so I was wondering if my choices in canvas size and resolution work well for what I want to do in the future.

My goal is to make a version that I could print or sell on Amazon in the future.
The specs I've been using is 2000x3050 pixels with 600 dpi.
I chose to use this canvas size so I could include a lot of detail and the ratio should work reasonably well for printing and I chose the dpi because it's the minimum I use when scanning my traditionally drawn pages.

I have a half dozen or so pages made already but I realize that maybe I might want to ask people more experienced with digital art programs for advice in case I should be doing something different.

This is how they've been turning out so far it's the only digital page I have up (I occasionally add color pages in just for fun)

Dpi has no bearing on digital. If you make your comic 2000 pix across and you print at 600 dpi, the picture will be 3.3 inches across. You can't hide quality somehow in a digital page. The size is 2000px, no larger, no smaller. If you want a page 5 inches across at 600 dpi, the page has to be 3000px across. 3000/5= 600.

Thanks for the feed back. Lowering the DPI on the pages I've already made shouldn't cause any problems then?

For digital work, no it won't. If you want to print, it changes the printed output page size. By making the the dpi smaller, the print page will become bigger, but the picture will get pixelated if you go too small.

DPI (Dot Per Inch) is to measure the amount of pixels in an inch of real paper. That's why it has no impact on any digital work. As @BoomerZ said.

That being said my concern would be with the width of the canvas, tapas has a maximum of 940px with no height limit, so you should scale down the pages when exporting.

Oh I make separate files for uploading I like to keep a larger version for other sites that I use that allow for larger files as well as a master file in case I ever need to make big edits. I usually upload a 800px wide file for Tapas and Webtoon
