It's not horrible at all! The only thing I would point out is that the character's cape lines up with the cliff face in a way that creates a visual tangent. It's nothing major, but something to look out for in the future.

Here's a little guide15 about spotting tangents and avoiding them.

Not horrible at all! I think the strongest point of this is the shading on the tree, I quite like it :3 Taking the base color only decision for the grass was a good move as well (coloring grass is always a make-it-or-break-it situation; I often suck at it myself lol)

I think one thing that could maybe add to this piece would be trying out some textured brushes, especially for things like the tree, the dirt path, as well as the character's fabric.

On its own though, this is well done! (and the texture thing is a personal suggestion, it's probably fine the way it is). Great job smile

I think you've done a really good job! I always find it difficult to comment on colouring...first of all, colours can look very different from one screen to the next, and often it's also a matter of personal taste. But I think you've achieved a very successful result for the style you're going for, and the shadows all seem to make sense based on where the source of light comes from.

If I were to nitpick, I would agree with what's already been mentioned - try to avoid tangents. And perhaps draw just a few more bumps and lines on the part of the ground that you've left "untouched" - no need for tons of details, just a little bit. I think all in all you've balanced the amount of detail and "cleanness" very well. I'd just like to see a little more variation in the front where there is just a lot of brown, flat ground, especially since it's next to the grass that you've also kept rather flat in colour and with limited detail (which I think works well).

Anyway! Awesome! Good job blush I read the description for the comic, but saw you haven't started posting much yet, so I don't know what it's really all about, but I like this page! With this kind of naked landscape, it has a sort of lonely feeling to it, but the colour of the sky has a pretty optimistic blue I think, so I feel like there's some hope there.

I wonder how it would look if the tree cast a proper shadow on the ground, but if it was done with texture as others have said?

Its not bad, BUT the sky could use some clouds or something. But the rest is pretty cool.

I think it could use some more texture in certain areas like on the grass for example, maybe work with other shades of green as well. That's just my two cents though.

This picture isn't bad at all, it looks pretty good. The background above the background seems a little empty. The cape is alos too stiff looking, you could look around on Youtube to find how to properly apply wind to your cloth.

It's better than anything I've done in art in my life, that's for sure x'D
It's awesome, nice style. I just would say that the sky bothers me because it's like too empty.
Keep the nice work ^^

Well it's just flat coloring coloring, so you can't go too wrong with that.

What do you want to accomplish with your coloring?

I think it is definitely better than 'horrible'. But since there's shadow extending backward for the character, I think you should do the same for the tree as well? But overall, I think it's alright.

Horribly------ GOOD. I love your style of colouring, it has a nice clean feel to it! Which I'm actually very fond of, haha. I wonder if you should put some lil' shadow by the tree root?

The actual comic will be black and white. I might end up coloring it properly later, but I'd rather focus on the actual pages.
