How long did it take you to get in the ''popular'' tag?

I've been there a few times. I think it started a couple months after I released the Tapastic version of my blog. Every now and then I pop into the Trending or Popular tag after I release a new review. Then I fade away into oblivion again until the next review haha

Um, according to my analytics, I think Heavy Horns first appeared there a month after I started it, with roughly 800 subs. For Demon House, I believe it got there with 1k subs, about 3 months after I started it? And then they've consistently been in the section every time I update them. But they always fade away after a day, the series that stay there for like two days after they've updated must be wildly popular.

Oh wow! How'd you get that many subs in a month? did you have a base somewhere else that carried over here?

Not really, I started Demon House on tumblr, but I only had like 150 or so followers there. Then when I started mirroring here, I suppose my series gained some traction, got into trending a few times, and then it just ballooned from there. Then when I started Heavy Horns about a couple months after Demon House, my subs on Tap subbed to that. It's now my most popular series, but I suppose that's also because it's a male x male romance. lol

About 3 months, after I was featured in the editor's pick.
I usually show up either in the popular or trending section whenever I update... but never the both at the same time.... CONSPIRACY!

I'm on the same boat as you are....I just want to understand how you guys do it🙀...like how does one be great in general and get subs?

I know I've been there a few times but it only lasted an hour or two! xD Either right after an update (once or twice), or sometimes I make it into popular or trending when someone is going through my archive and liking or commenting a lot. I rarely am online to see it, but I've had other people tell me that they've seen RW show up there.

So, y'know, it's also possible to get there without having a clue that you got there. xD

Someone told me Breaking the Lore got into trending for a very brief amount of time, but alas I didn't see it.
(I can't say that it resulted in an increase in subs either, so I guess getting on there might not be all its cracked up to be! Won't stop me hoping to end up on there again, though...)

I think I got as far as to page 1 of Popular, but not the front page even after almost a year. I dunno, we're acquiring subs daily and doing well, but not really blowing up. I think the highest I got on the popular list was when a spotlighted artist followed my comic and everyone got to see it through their page :'D

I'm not sure when the first time was, we've been on here a long time. I know we've been there several times. Usually for a bit, but I know a few of times we were there for a couple of days.

We stopped updating for awhile (most of our traffic is still on our main site) but we are back now. Usually if we drop a couple pages we get back in. It varies.

I got no idea when the first time one of my comics showed up there, but No Future tends to pop in and out daily (I also update daily... which actually kicks it OUT of the popular section =_= really annoying and horrible for new traffic...) while Raven Wolf will sometimes jump in there after updating (my schedule for Raven Wolf is very all over the place at the moment)

my comic just recently in popular and trending tag. 1st time I saw it in front of Tap site. I started about 2 months ago and had around 230+ subs.

Umm I'm actually not very sure, but I think within the first few weeks, I remember my friend telling me she saw it on there at the time.
Now it appears more frequently on there and stays for around a day.

I haven't really kept track - mostly it's readers who have alerted me to it whenever my comic pops up there - but I know it took me about 4 months or so before it happened the first time?

It happens every now and then - usually right after an update, or if a reader goes through and methodically 'like's every page - but it only lasts for about an hour or so every time. Unless you count the Winter Fest-collab episode, when I was in the popular tag for nearly 24 hours straight.

It seems like it took months to most people. xD I have no idea if my comic appeared before in any of the tags before Staff picks, but I know it popped back and forth after. Most of the times just for a few hours or so?? I think it was roughly around 3-4 months. I didn't know so much time passed because I was enjoying making the pages a loooot.

From when I first started a year ago, it took me about six or seven months to regularly reach the Popular section in any manner. When I hit around 170 subscribers, it was much more often, but not for any significant amount of time. There was a time when I hit the front page...

But that was only for like... an hour.
And that was a long time ago.
I had since started over and I hit the Trending page only once in awhile. Not often at all. Probably gonna take another six months to get there.

Does "Trending" for your particular category count?

Beast Bait was on the second page of Fantasy Trending a couple of weeks ago. I just checked and it's not there anymore, unfortunately. I don't know how, although I was getting a lot of likes on my pages I still only have 18 subs so can't say the trend proved itself to be an actual "trend".
