Her off-focus and intense expression makes me want to see what she's seeing- this could be used as part of a title page, even.

Hey, everyone! I'm pretty new to Tapastic, and want to present the best possible work I can. So I'd like to get some opinions to help me out. First off, I always draw my cartoons by hand, but after scanning my completed work, I do the coloring via Photoshop. With each Tapastic post, I share the final colored version, but I also like to tack on a black-and-white version of the same cartoon. My hope is to show folks exactly how my work looks on paper as well as the final result. Some "old-school" readers have told me they really like seeing the black-and-white ones, but I've also heard suggestions that they take away from the main, colored cartoons. So I'm posting an upcoming episode in my Candace 'n' Company series to show whoever's interested how they look together. I welcome any and all thoughts. If you like it, let me know. If you don't, ditto!
Thanks!
If you REALLY like the colored version, there are lots more on my website!2

I personally prefer the black and white version. I find the coloured version to be rather bright and distracting with the extreme saturated red cyan and blue.

Although I do find the black and white version lacks detail in the background which makes it feel a litter empty, especially in the last panel.

A good job on the standard tree, but that isn't practical on a time crunch. Please continue to practice that tree as always, but also try drawing a group of trees together in a more abstract way, that way you're not spending 10 hours on backgrounds and only have time for one hour of character drawings.

It's a good start, tho it seems a bit too geometric, which makes it look like a mushroom cloud. Maybe have some branches and some roots.

What's at the base?

Shatterjure, depends on your characters I suppose. In my opinion characters will always take the focus away from the background. Looks good enough to me.

Here's a page from my webcomic: Planet Thundersnow

Trying to generate interest, but it's just not happening. I think I should have uploaded a page a day instead of all at once. Perhaps I'll re-upload the pages as I color them.

Anyway, let me know what you think!

So, just want an opinion on my art. I have art that i made earlier, and art made more recently.

Heyo! I'm new here and eager to start doing stuff. I saw this topic earlier and thought it was a perfect chance to ask people what they think of this current style

This took me an hour or so, I'm still learning/nervous >.<

One other thing, just in case someone is confused; Those red things are NOT blood drops or scars or cuts, its a rash stuck_out_tongue
Just thought I'd clear that up sweat_smile

Anyway I'm really happy and excited to finally be here. I'm looking forward to any helpful hints people may give me smile

Ok, well, one piece of advice i could give you, is move the head a bit forward, because now the neck is kind of coming from the chin, even tho its a side view.
And another piece of advice would be this: At least TRY to shade a bit, it will add so much more depth to the drawing.
I guess that's all.
