Traditional artists: what do you do with all your pages?

I'm mostly a digital artist, but I like to add in a little touch of traditional texture by using watercolours and hand inking sometimes, depending on the project. This was particularly true for a 25 page comic I did called The Trapper Lad., which I did on thick hot pressed watercolour paper.

Those 25 pages alone take up quite a bit of room in a little box in a drawer now, and it's got me thinking... what do people with hundreds of traditional pages DO with them all? Do you store them, sell them, give them away?

I use standard printer paper, so I am able to store them in protective sleeves secured in a binder. I keep the binder on a bookshelf with my other sketchbooks. Other than that, my room is littered with little drawings I did while bored, which don't have a home.

I don't do my current comic traditionally but I do some traditional art and I like to put it in a presentation book rather than a binder with sleeves - they're a bit sturdier and more reliable for me.

I like to put them in plastic sleeves and keep them tucked away in binders so they don't get messed up. Going back and flipping through them from time to time reminds me of how far I've come from those early drafts to current projects.

I've got them all stored in a filing cabinet right now. I mean another solution though, cause it's filling up fast. XD

I keep them of course! Even my comic storyboards and rough sketches are all in a 3 inch binder. I got to get a bigger on soon.
And all my other traditional art are in sketch books though I don't have alot of them for my sketch books have about or more than 200 pages in them.

I shove them all recklessly into file folders where they rub uncomfortably like people in a crowded elevator.

I used to store them when i did traditional.

I didn't bring them with me when I moved. My parents are free to trash or burn them c:

I attempted to sell them cheaply once upon a time but nearly no bite so I know fans don't want them bad enough to be worth saving.

I have mine in binders!
I want them to be in one place, and it's easy for me to look through them whenever I need some references that I've only drawn once instead of having to go through 350+ pages online.

(also, it makes me look really organized too 8D)

Though, I draw my comic digitally I sketch my comic pages traditionally in a sketchbook dedicated only to comic related art. I find it easy to have a sketchbook that I can easily carry around and store anywhere in my apartment and all the pages are always in the same place.

Problem is... This is not my only sketchbook. In fact I have so many sketchbooks that they're becoming a nuisance. Look into a drawer, a sketchbook! Look inside a desk, two sketchbooks! Open up a cupboard, an avalanche of sketchbooks! I really need some Konmari in my life.

I got this pretty file organizer from Walmart. Each section fits about 25 pages which is a chapter size for me, so each section is a chapter and the whole thing will fit 15 chapters, so an entire book I have 3 sections filled so far and plan to get a new organizer when I start the next book!

I used to store them in folders, but I ran out of them (not that I had too many to begin with), so what I do now is put all my "drawings" in manila envelopes, they're pretty convenient for me.

That is if they're worth keeping, if not, there's only a place for them, whispers: the trash can

Plan on selling them, if you want art to be your job, everything is for sale. And hopefully you make money off of one piece of traditional art in 5 different ways

If you do patreon, the orginal page is a great high tier reward. But again, that's part of selling it.

This has just reminded me that when I was a young teenager I had a binder full of comic pages. I should find out where it is!

Lost many art and comic pages to pets being brats. Chewing and cat pee (when the boys decided to have a pissing contest) are the biggest threats. Also my moms cat like to use my paper and drawing books as a scratching post. Also, vomit.

My house is too crowd and dangerous for me to keep those very safe, but I try.

I store them and offer them as an annual reward on Patreon.
So far there is not much interests in them, but that's OK. I think art is an collectors item anyway (even though I'm no DaVinci), therefore I'm not surprised not everyone is interested in an original. But just in case

When I was younger, I would keep them all in binders. But, as I slowly converted to digital art, I've began to scan my traditional work and recycle the paper. That way, I could free up space in my home while still keeping the copies.

I keep all of them backed up on a USB drive (like one of the big ones), so I always know where my pages are.
