As I'm trying to get back into the swing of publishing my comic here5, I'm torn between a couple different update schedules/styles.

Currently I've scheduled to have ~5 pages post every 2 weeks. Would it be better to have a single page posting, say, 3 times a week? Do you feel like readers value long episodes or frequent posting more?

Nobody has cracked the perfect update schedule yet, but there are benefits to either one of your options. If you post more frequently, your series will show up on 'Fresh' more often, meaning you might get more exposure. If you post longer updates, it might help with the flow of your story (this part really depends; does it even make sense to chop it up into bits that small?)

With posting more often, you might end up having to draw more often in order to maintain your schedule if you begin falling behind. Or, it might be easier because one session of drawing could last you through a week, since you can schedule updates.

But remember that no matter what you choose, there will be people that complain that episodes are too short, or that updates are too infrequent. You can't please everybody, so choose the schedule that works best for you as a creator.

Excellent advice, thank you! I'm a bit of a weirder situation as a writer hiring artists, but I also have a fairly large buffer as here I'm only on Chapter 8 vs Chapter 14 on my main site.

Hmm, given that once I run out of buffer I'm likely to more at the 1 page a month level for a while, maybe I shouldn't try to post more frequently NOW, just to have to bring it down later.
