One of the main characters, Manny, refuses to give attention to his best traits while chasing ones he does not likely have the potential to acquire. He has not only squandered the only real relationships he's ever had, he lies to people who love him to chase a delusion, and takes things for granted. Eventually it ends up endangering his life and future, and it takes being driven to the brink to finally start making some life altering choices.

I really love loser characters like this. Ones who come to mind are Jessie from Breaking Bad, Kaiji Itou etc. People who ignore good advice for personal gain or dumb pleasures, and are often lead astray one way or another- but ultimately have a heart of gold. Something about them feels really grounded in reality. In fact, his character was inspired by a person who I hated in real life.

This sibling set is the closest to what you describe for sure. They're typically too hardheaded and strong willed to listen to others, and they can't let things be. Always have to argue everything especially when it's each other. Overall overly friendly goofballs without a developed world view.

I got one.Onr of my side characters.

His name's Xander, and he's a monk from the coven of the collective monks. ( A sect dedicated to the preservation and defense of knowledge.)

He wears the usual robes and is average height. He also has short red hair and is more of a muscle head with good intentions. He will step into a fight when there isn't even is one and wants to be the bigger man. He's also rash and rude, though he doesnt try to be. He's just that oblivious and dumb.

Nate definately had some brain farts, like when he and Matt kissed for the first time and he was having an internal crises because of it and told Matt he likes boys, as if it wasn't obvious after they made out for a while.... like, yeah, Matt is a boy, c'mon Nate, think before speaking.

But if it was a competition to know who's the most stupid of them all, Mike'd get the prize probably. He acts and talks before thinking and he's totally clueless to somethings, mainly in the romantic repertoire, is like you're dealing with a rock. He's also this kind of guy who has this strong and bad boy facade and is all soft inside when you get to know him for real and really care about people. He hadn't appeared a lot in the comic yet, but I've writen a lot of scenes with him in the scripts that I want to draw cuz he's amazing hahaha

I don't know if you'd call my character an idiot but my idiot character is name Nina, she's the protagonist, I wrote her as an idiot because she is still a kid and everything that happens around her is always new. Even the first boy that she likes is kind of off putting, like you can tell he doesn't like her. There's a second boy who does like Nina but she doesn't notice it, she just thinks that he's a shy and cute little giraffe.

Hmm... in Erebus University, Luka, Matthew and Finlay definitely shared one brain cell. They came up with stupid ideas together, broke a fundamental rule together, got punished together.

Although the bigger idiot is either Finlay or Matthew. Finlay stood still watching Luka burned the dorm kitchen, told a terrible pick up line to a witch, and did an incredibly dangerous thing with a werewolf twice among many others. While Matthew recklessly peeped into a warlock's cauldron and faced the consequence, interrupted Finlay's first attempt at flirting by trolling via telepathy, overslept and left Luka stranded in an entirely different continent, got caught smuggling a whole meal for his fellow pledges during Hell Week, and... well, he messed up a lot.

There are two idiots in A Throne of Potion and Mirrors too, but I think Kinalu takes the cake. He simply kept saying things he shouldn't say, doing things he shouldn't do and being in places he shouldn't be. But I haven't finished writing it, so there's still plenty of time for Darga to overthrow him.

All my characters are kinda stupid, but Rin really takes the cake on this one. It's not that she's completely braindead, she's just not knowledgeable when it come to social interaction and isn't great at figuring stuff out on her own

Rin dummy compilation:

From episode 6:

Episode 9:

Fast forward to later that episode:

And finally episode 13

I'm especially happy with the interaction in episode 13 cuz it's like multiple LEVELS of stupid and I feel like I got her to play off of the other characters pretty well c:

All of my male characters are idiots because I love to draw idiots and they are funny.
I have the cool but simple/stupid rockabilly guy who is the main character of some
of my comics. The nerdy idiot that I like so much that I have him hanging as a print
over my couch and many more.
The female characters have all kind of other character traits from good to evil

There are different degrees of idiocy.

Callis has the emotional intelligence of a potato (He is getting better)

Novus has a motor mouth and poor impulse control even when he is book smart.

Robio is kinda dumb, but he has street smarts.

Berula is extremely intelligent, but as little to no regard to some societal norms

Alexa is dumb as a brick, but balances it out by being built as a house, made out of bricks.

Falco isn't dumb, but he is arrogant enough to ignore warning signs.

Parvus and Foedesius are fucking idiots.

Horror/Trauma can be an absolute moron at times. It's not his fault - what can you expect when he has that massive crack in his skull - but it still gets him in trouble.
Ink/Mosaic is a total scatterbrain. He'll sometimes forget what he's talking about right in the middle of a sentence.
Serif is a kid. He doesn't really know what he's doing most of the time. Rushes into things without thinking.
Can't wait to show these characters off.

We all know the answer....

It's the protagonist. Lady Elrekia Lune of the Round Table, AKA, Rekki Lune, AKA, Lady Punchalot.

She just really doesn't stop to think at all before she acts. Half the time, she forgets she has a sword because she's so eager to get stuck into the fight she just punches demons with her bare fists.

She has been working as a knight in Joysgard for practically a decade without being aware the headquarters had a lounge with free food and drink.

Truly... the greatest knight in all Britannia.

Both!

Lukas and Wilt are a pair of idiots. Lukas refuses to accept his obvious feelings, and Wilt keeps putting his foot in his mouth every time Lukas starts to change his mind. So stupid, but so fun to watch.

Saltpetre and Sage, is a BL fantasy/adventure about an apothecary and a thief who try to keep their relationship 'strictly professional' and failing brilliantly.

awh darn, does it work if you click on it? Dunno how to fix it, but if you're really curious its also on my Instagram (melovestacos_writes)

Nikado is the biggest dumbass in the entire story and I'm going to break down why.

He was so stupid he seriously thought he could get away with all the crimes he was committing in the stick figure universe because his ritzy behind straight up thought he's above everything. Things got so out of hand that St. Peter had to personally pull him aside and be like "STAHP it". And the worst part is that it's implied that Nikado KNEW all the secrets above the stick figure universe. He knew he was watched by higher powers, but he refused to believe in any of it because of St. Peter's background as a fisherman. YES. THAT'S THE REASON. "Oh a fisherman's watching us? Wait, who does he worship? A POOR person?!? Yo, where da Greek gods at?!?"

Which is interesting because NIKADO'S SMART! In fact, I'd say he's no joke, the smartest. His pride just... gets to him in the dumbest, humanly ways. He draws the line at "a perfect being resurrecting as a poor person" lmao. Which is why he thinks HE can do no wrong ergo he can't be stupid.

I got a few dumbass characters, but my guy is my MC, Apollo.

He's 6'3 of stupid, very sheltered, gullible, overly trusting, doesn't think before opening his mouth, never pays attention and doesn't know boundaries. There are times when he thinks he's helping, but is only making everything worse for the other characters (Specifically my other MC, Julian.) Apollo can be smart if he put in the effort to learn things, he's pretty good with music and such. Although due to self-esteem issues, his environment and how he grew up, he doesn't think he's able to learn so he doesn't attempt to. Doesn't help that being an alcoholic has pretty much rotted his brain.
