I'm a smartass who talks too much. My first webcomic is Singmire Haze, a story with forest-razing corporate elves, a scatterbrained elf engineer and his peculiar assistant, set in a sci-fantasy world. I currently work on Consuming Darkness, a bdsm story with gay elves, about a blind priest trying to prevent a young dude from becoming a vilain in the future.

I haven't posted here in a very long time but I'm looking to return to Tapas with a new series. And I'm so flabbergasted over the change with the comment section??? As a creator who made it a point to answer every single comment and engage in lively discussions with my readers (and loved to see my…

Same. I'm thankful that Tap exists and brought me the readership I have, but what has motivated me most to draw my comics is ...Tapastic itself. The website, the community, the thrill to be part of it as it all grows... It has really fueled me a lot. But since the end of Support Program and the on…

Right now I feel "so done" like, "what am I even still doing here?" On one hand, they leave confusing rules that require that users be 18+ (for the app) but on the other hand they put that rounded font that makes everything look both childish AND painful to the eyes for many of us with lesser or b…

I suppose we've now seen the something big being the desktop update to look like the app... I wonder if the same features are going to come as well. ...I wish I'd feel more excited, but I'm so disappointed by the update right now. I have to swallow it before I can start reacting positively to anythi…

Does it mean both the App and the Desktop version of Tapastic/Tapas is now de facto rated 18+? I'm a bit confused. The new font on the Desktop is so rounded and childish, but now everything is for adults??

I would add to this that we can have several days in a row without a single ad all day long. And sometimes we watch an ad but don't get any coins for it afterwards. The day when we got 80 coins for a lot of ads was absolutely glorious however, we hope it happens again.

I'd rather 10% any coins for same reason as @CyndiFoster I avoid bonus coins because I don't want them to confuse me about what I have for actual tipping. I'd like to use them to buy keys to support other creators but the series I follow are not locked, and I don't want to just toss keys over some…

OMF OMF THIS IS THE BEST THING @GoldenPlume please notify us when the article is out, I WANT TO READ IT AND SHARE IT ♥ ♥ ♥

This is AWESOME! I hope we make it!! I've shared the word everywhere!

I think there was a suggestion to make it possible to have categories of wall notifications that readers could sub to/unsub from. And such categories would have included "now streaming," "related to series X, Y or Z", "related to artist," and "other". There might have been some more categories pro…

Ow, if there ever were to be some deal between LINE and Tapastic, I do hope that would only mean that Tapastic would get more funds to implement more features and increase the experience. I really do not like how, on LINE, it feels like users aren't allowed to have much of an identity (no avatar, n…

I hope I can be there blush ....isn't the 2nd of December a Friday tho??

Awyeah, Consuming Darkness was stolen too! \o/ WELL I guess I'll be putting a sweet watermark now, like "if you're not on Tapastic, you're reading pirated a page" I find it hilarious though, because they get the warnings for nudity as well, displayed like they're standalone pages xD Totally noooot s…

I think that demographics play a big part, though. We don't know exactly what populations use LINE and Tapastic, but we can wager it includes a good proportion of teens. Still, Tapas has premium currency AND books that now attract a more adult audience (and when I say "more adult", yes, I also mean …

@JessJackdaw @CyndiFoster Awww those are so adorable!!! I'm supposed to finish a page for Consuming Darkness due for yesterday, but what-ever, need a break from drawing by drawing more and celebrating 2 years of HoT =D Here goes the noxxle foxxle ghost, hihi. I added a slinky because there has to be…

Ah yes, of course I don't expect total transparency, but something that would at least give us clearer expectations about what is or is not going to happen (preferably no "maybe", "someday", "in an unforeseeable future" and such vague terms). But more back to topic, I finally found LINE's guidelin…

If it's something very simple, are you sure you need –we need it now? Yes, we're cringing over the key/coins system, yes, we want an alternative, but is it what's burning the house down currently? I don't believe so. And if you fuck up the next feature, that will just be drama again. I cannot stre…

@michaelson I know you used to do it, you used to spend a lot of time and energy reading comics. Sure, now there are more than one can follow, but if you can't do your job alone, maybe it's time to hire assistants. I honestly think it's not fair to let the community do your job in your stead while…

Thank you @michaelson for the feedback. I'm quite happy about the survey you sent, though it could have been a bit more elaborate on what exactly the feature would be, to whom it would be available or not, and include a question about how we'd feel about the function being accessible through the App…

I honestly think that the staff is not equipped anyway (at the moment, at least) to be capable of correctly setting standards for what would be considered healthy or not – as shown by their handling of the situation and view of what exactly is problematic about Learning Curves. Still, that doesn't m…

There are scientific studies about the influence of various sorts of contents on different audiences, be it about gender representation, violence, sexuality, fetishes, etc. Many of those works hold sensitive value and explain in which way certain material can be unhealthy, sometimes in connexion t…

I very much agree with this post and this part especially. It's important to know your audience, indeed, and the Tapastic community is not the sort that largely enjoys this kind of content, quite the opposite. If Tapas is going for 17+ content features on a regular basis (which it has, so far, wha…

I do agree that such content should be put behind a barrier, and I do think that an actual update of the NSFW is very required for this. I honestly wish it would be possible to flag series that contain unhealthy content, including unhealthy romance, and any sort of glorified abuse, because it shou…

What sort of group is this about exactly? Is it a forum? I'm not super good at forums, but I can chat on Discord sometimes. I'm interested in forming a group of (let's put it in a bold, awkward way) Responsible Artists™ What is a Responsible Artist™? (ok, let's drop the ™ it's silly) Well, that …

It would be good indeed to have a staff reply, to get answers to all the questions that were brought up. While I agree that one bad work shouldn't represent all of Tapastic, it still speaks quite loud for Tapas as it aligns in the trajectory of porn novels and other works that have been advertised f…

I must say this saddens me. I've been wondering, if the staff has a friend who engineers tractors, are we soon going to have a tractor section on the App? Because you know, tractors are an awesome way to tell stories. While I think that supporting your friends is good, I think there's a time and p…

To debate, "débattre" in French, literally means "un-fight." That's why the "debates" we see on TV usually are anything but debates, more like arguments in which people just try to be right and prove the other wrong, not listening to each other, trying to force their opinions in complete disregard o…

I don't think anyone here happens to be some godly being gifted with omnipotent powers, who can predict the future and how people will react to what they read. Damn, I still have very vivid memories of books/cartoons I've watched as a small kid, and that traumatized me for years. I'm still uncomfo…

Tun dun dun, they ARE a professional doing client work: Jacquie Walters and Taylor Cox are currently Staff Writers on Amazon's "The Kicks." Prior to that, they wrote freelance episodes for Dorothy of Oz and Clarence for Cartoon Network. They also wrote animated and live action content for Dreamw…

I could only see screenshots of what was accessible without paying, but I believe that should be enough to judge the story --if not, then it's the authors' fault, not mine. It's not impossible to make an introduction that reflects the story without having to be NSFW or putting a paywall straight awa…
